Emily | 1277 comments Hi everyone checking in. Look forward to this challenge should be a lot of fun. Sending friend requests to everyone. Also need the shelf for the challenge and once everyone is checked in we will be ready to go.

Out of curiosity what is everyone currently reading? I am starting Bound by CM Steele.

I sense something. A presence I have not felt since.Darth Vader (A New Hope)

Katherine (katkattrinn) | 329 comments Hi everyone! My name is Katherine, I am from Lithuania. I am excited about this challenge. I not 100% sure what I will be doing here, so far I fully didn't read the rules, because I am kind of a lazy person. At the moment I am reading The One Real Thing (Hart's Boardwalk, #1) by Samantha Young by Samantha Young.

My shelf: /review/list...

message 15: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4006 comments Hi everyone! I'm Judy and I'm from Germany. I've never participated in Tower Teams so I'm quite excited! I'm reading These Three Remain at the moment which I hope I can (finally) finish today.

My shelf is here: /review/list...

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow, it's nice to have team members from all over the globe!

Emily, I see that you're an Oregonian. I went to high school in Hillsboro! Portland was always nice whenever I ventured out there.

message 17: by Rebecca (last edited Apr 20, 2017 06:45AM) (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3736 comments Hi team! I'm Rebecca from NJ in the USA and I'm excited to start! My shelf will be /review/list...

Right now I'm reading both Easter Bunny Murder (A Lucy Stone Mystery, #19) by Leslie Meier and Snowblind (Dark Iceland - English Publication Order #1; Original Publication #2) by Ragnar Jónasson . I tend to have both an ebook I'm reading and an audiobook for my commute.

I will be away for the start of the challenge (just for a few days), so my first week will be slow, but I will pick it up after that (and have a 3 hour train ride for un-interupted reading on the way there)!! I have a bunch of friends getting married this year so my weekends will be filled with events and hopefully reading!

message 18: by Melissa (last edited Apr 20, 2017 06:56AM) (new)

Melissa | 3774 comments Hi Team - I'm Melissa from Philadelphia, PA in the US. I will be your co-captain this challenge. I've co-captained quite a few challenges before including TT which is my favorite team challenge! It's so nice to see everyone from all around the world! I love meeting new people and getting new book recommendations. Every time I join a challenge my TBR gets longer and longer :):):)

Has anyone played TT before or is this your first time?

I am currently playing the UNO challenge over at Perks and am reading Along for the Ride which so far I'm really enjoying!

I will be away from posting the last 2 weeks in June because I am getting married and going on my honeymoon but I will be reading (long plane ride) so I'll update all when I get back.

I'm pretty sure I've become friends with everyone but if I missed someone just send me a request.

My shelf - ttv-2017

How is that Talia? I have Truthwitch at home to read - I am hoping to get it read during TT. I've heard good things and I'm pretty excited about it!

message 20: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 3774 comments So because we are all around the world we are probably in different time zones. I wonder what the difference is for us.

Right now its around 10am for me. I know Rebecca is the same and Emily is 3 hours behind but anyone else?

message 21: by Katherine (last edited Apr 20, 2017 07:17AM) (new)

Katherine (katkattrinn) | 329 comments Now is about 5pm at my part of the world. I live +2 hours, if you looking at standard time zones

message 22: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 3774 comments We should still be online at the same time as my usual active time on goodreads is during work 830-530ish my time so that's exciting!

I am an Oregonian, live in Portland. My dh worked at Intel for years but the commute got to be too tedious out to Hillsboro as more people moved here. Have you been there recently? It has grown so much.

message 24: by Haley (new)

Haley (haleymadd) | 351 comments I'm here! I live in florida and this is my first tower team. I'm really excited for this and right now it's 10:40 am. I read multiple books at once so right now I'm reading Crossed (Matched, #2) by Ally Condie (audiobook), The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (for school), The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1) by Lemony Snicket (I'll finish today), The Dawn Warrior (Dawn, #1) by Ginny O. (ebook), Wicked Like a Wildfire (Hibiscus Daughter, #1) by Lana Popović (ebook-arc), Hunted by Meagan Spooner

message 25: by Haley (new)

Haley (haleymadd) | 351 comments Oh and this is my tower team shelf /review/list...

message 26: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4006 comments I'm at +1, one hour closer to the US than Katherine, and it's 16:53 right now - I get to go home from work soon!

message 27: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 3774 comments Great - it looks like at least we will all be able to chat at the same time.

It's so nice to meet you all!

message 28: by Des (new)

Des (deslyn) | 185 comments Hi, team! I'm Dessiree, but you can call me Des, from central Florida. I've been doing reading challenges for about a year now, but this will be my first time participating in Tower Teams. I do have several friends that have raved about this particular challenge, so I'm really looking forward to it.

My current reads are The Gunslinger (The Dark Tower, #1) by Stephen King by Stephen King and Heartless by Marissa Meyer by Marissa Meyer. Anyone else read either of these? I'm really enjoying both so far. :D

Shelf: /review/list...

message 29: by Melissa (last edited Apr 24, 2017 06:12AM) (new)

Melissa | 3774 comments Hi Des! I have not read either but I heard good things about Heartless so let me know how it is!

TT is a really fun challenge to be in so I hope you enjoy it :)

message 30: by Colleen (last edited Apr 20, 2017 11:44AM) (new)

Colleen (colls) | 114 comments Hello everyone!

Here's my shelf: /review/list...

I'm currently reading Harriet Wolf's Seventh Book of Wonders A Novel by Julianna Baggott and listening to What She Knew by Gilly Macmillan , although it's likely to expire before I finish listening so I might have to toss it back on the TBR.

I did TT once before and it was fun! I like the 'read what you want' aspect of it.

ETA: and in Baltimore, MD - so similar time zone to some of you. :)

Hi Des! I love fairy tale re-tellings, I even participated in group challenge (not NBRC community). For some kind of reason I didn't star reading Heartless yet. So what is your opinion on this book?

Hello all my deliciously dark droid/ship teamies! I'll be your dark side mentor mod for this book fueled journey through space.

Looking forward to getting this party started!

message 33: by Justyna (new)

Justyna (blaire88) Hi all! I'm Justyna from Poland and I only realized the team were already posted when you lovely people started friending me :) I have participated in Tower Teams challenge last year and loved it. I'm really looking forward to doing it again :)

I've just finished reading Anna and the
Swallow Man
and now I need something lighter to read so I think I'll start The Score becuase you cannot go wrong with new adult and hockey (especially since it's playoff time :P)

message 34: by Louise (new)

Louise | 3320 comments Hi, I'm Louise from Wales, it is currently. 845pm here. Not played TT before but I'm no stranger to team challenges. Just finished A Room with a View and have Shadow Study and The Hidden Oracle up next.

message 35: by Haley (new)

Haley (haleymadd) | 351 comments I'll be reading Shadow Study after I finish Spy Glass!

I'm no more than a few chapters in, but I'm really loving it. I was a huge fan of The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, so I had high hopes for Heartless. So far, so good. I'll let you know my final thoughts once I've finished it. :D

I have love/hate reltionship with new adults books in general, but I always enjoy Elle Kennedy's and Sarina Bowen's books. Both of them are my go-to new adults authors :)

How are you liking the The Picture of Dorian Gray? I'm listening to the audio book right now and I can't take how dramatic it is. The fact that the reader has a deep serious voice only makes it worse for me. That said the story line is fascinating. I'm only at chapter 8 right now and so much has happened.

I read a bunch at a time too... good list

message 45: by Emily (new)

Emily | 1277 comments Hey everyone. Looks like almost everyone is checked in. Finished two books today, reading a Rochelle Paige right now and then have no clue what I am going to read.

Picture of Dorian Gray is one of my favorites.

I loved Truthwitch! The title had made me hesitate on reading it since I don't like reading books with witchcraft, but it's more like the people are mutants with special abilities rather than witches. Reminded me of the Grisha books and Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1) by Leigh Bardugo which I also loved.

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

I just started The Forgetting (The Forgetting, #1) by Sharon Cameron today which I'm really enjoying. I only heard about this book from a couple of people on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ. Anyone else read this yet? Reminds me of The Giver (The Giver, #1) by Lois Lowry .

Same for me! I'll read basically everything by them and just ignore most other NA books.
