Stephanie Plum, bail bonds enforcement gal, literally has a dead body fall at her feet. A frozen dead body. Covered in chocolate. Sprinkled with nuts. Stephanie is soon taxed by the magnificently handsome Ranger to go undercover at the Bogart Ice Cream factory to find out what is going on. Although there is a fierce rivalry between Bogart and a cousin's ice cream business, something much more sinister is happening.
I still love the audio versions of these books read by Lorelei King, but the mysteries themselves are getting pretty thin. About 3/4 of the book featured Lula, who can really be a hoot, and her harebrained schemes to make reality television shows, and if you know Lula, the shows are not family-friendly. Stephanie continues to be torn between Ranger and Morelli and on and on and on. Maybe it's time for Stephanie to make a decision, settle down with one guy or the other, and put an end to the series.
