Some great books on your list, Tracey!
Glad you are enjoying the Sebastian St. Cyr series :0)

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 1631 comments How are you liking the Sharon Kay Penman book, Tracey? I was in the bookstore the other day and almost purchased another book by her, The Sunne in Splendour, but decided to wait because I couldn't figure out if it was meant as a standalone or if it fit into a series.

I hope you're able to carry on with the Sebastian St Cyr series too.

Laura Good luck with your plan. I'm curious about your Last chance books. Giving up on the series for awhile?

Delicious list, Tracey! You're rounding the bend with Harry Bosch. Didn't realize you were reading Karen Rose, too. I switched to audio on that series about midway and am loving it.

Are you reading Alice in Wonderland with your daughters? That book always felt so adult to me. Looking forward to hearing your girls reactions.

I have kind of halted with the Sharon Kay Penman book. I was enjoying it but it is such a long and intense book and so many other books are calling out to me! I am hoping to one day get ahead of myself (Ha!) and feel like I can invest some time in to the SKP book again. I have read The Sunne In Splendour book and it is amazing. One of my favourite historical fiction books. I actually defend Richard III now! It is definitely a standalone.

Ah, no not giving up on the series..... I was finding that I was writing a list of books to read for a month, not getting through them all and the next month I would just add more and the list kept growing and growing. So now when I carry unread books over I give them 2 more months and if I haven't read them then I am obviously not in the mood for them at the moment and take them off the list for a while- not giving up on them just putting them aside for a while. I have found that this really focuses me and I haven't put that many books aside.

Thanks Jonetta :-)

I am determined with Harry Bosch as I find it the one series that I can read each month. I am currently reading The Fifth Witness (although this is Mickey Haller) and I am loving it! Did you know that Michael Connelly has a new series coming out in July:

/book/show/3...

Yes I am reading Alice in Wonderland with my daughters. It is a version with lots of pictures so I am hoping that will help! Interestingly we only found out the other day that my eldest (9) has already read the normal version at school! I always thought it was more of an adult book.

I really like this idea, Tracey. I do the same thing so often.

Murder on Waverly Place is also in my plan for the month. That series is one that I go to for comfort reads. Enjoy :)

Tracey (trakka) | 1363 comments I finished The Fifth Witness a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it. Mickey Haller does annoy me at times but overall I like him as a character.

I am now reading Hidden Bodies and I am hooked. I need to get it back to the library on Saturday so I am trying to read as much as I can!

Mickey sort of endears himself in that kind of way. Glad you liked the book!

Oh, Hidden Bodies...I couldn't put that one down. I listened to the second book and the narrator just nailed Joe.

I listened to the first one and am now reading this one in print. I am enjoying it just as much but I think that is because I can hear the narrator talking the words in my head :-)
