Hunter, what were your inspirations for the characters and Grandpa Abraham's house? Were these modeled after anyone that you knew, places you've been or are these 100% fabricated from your imagination?

West is definitely parts of me (and parts I wish were me when I was his age). His father, or at least what he goes through physically and emotionally, is based on a close friend's father. Now, Grandpa Abraham bears a slight resemblance to one of my grandfathers, but taken to a much higher degree. The Abraham you see in the book is actually toned down from the Abraham that was in the first draft. I didn't want to leave him so one dimensional.
Even though the book is based on a true story with a beautiful house in the Jersey burbs, I wanted mine to be creepier. So, I just called on some of the dilapidated farmhouses I've seen during my time in PA and voila! :)
Matt's vertigo seems so realistic (and frustrating for him!) You can tell that you did your homework on that one.
When you write, do you use an outline to map out your stories or do you simply take an idea let it run?

Don't forget to post your honest reviews on Amazon and Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ to be eligible for the drawing of two autographed and personalized copies of We Are Always Watching on August 1st.
Hunter, you've amassed quite an impressive catalog of writing. What was your favorite story to write out of all of them?

Thank you so much. I jumped at the opportunity to do something like this and gave it all I had.
