´¡²Ô»å°ùé²¹ (fernandie) | 913 comments I did not enjoy this one as much as I hoped I would. I generally like animal-themed books, including comics, and have read a decent number of wordless comics and graphic novels, so I don't think it was the topic or the format that put me off. I guess I just didn't identify/connect with the characters (Simon and his cat).

I agree with you on this not being something I enjoyed as much as I thought I would. I felt like this was the silent film (vs. a talkie) version of a Garfield comic. It was cute but nothing new or all that funny.

SuperKimbit | 59 comments While I haven't specifically read this one, I have read a few others and they are fine. It doesn't work nearly as well as a graphic novel as it works as an animation. If you haven't seen the animation (Simon's Cat on youtube) they are quite cute and sometimes funny - especially if you have had a cat in your home.

I think the only reason I could enjoy these books is because I used my imagination from the animations to fill in the gaps.

Russell | 80 comments Oooh nice! I didn’t know they were animates. I will check that out. Thanks!

Yeah, I don't think I realized they were animated until well after I read this collection. They definitely make more sense in that form.
