Meek Murph SPOILERS: kinda impressive how, as much as u hate Joffery, GRRM actually makes u feel bad when he's choking out on the ground

gam s (Haveyouread.bkk) I hate her so much throughout the first book because she's an annoying, self-centered, selfish, ignorant little bitch. Damn her and her ladylike manners and that "why everyone has to jeopardize my super beautiful prophetic princess dreams it's so unfair!" mindset.

Speaking of that mindset, I also noted that for all the things that went wrong in her life, she never ever blamed herself for them. So I agree with any of you who said she had the strongest mentaliy among the Starks. Of course she did. She didn't spend time dwelling on other people's feelings. Everything was all about herself.

For some reason I had the impression that she saw herself better than any of her siblings, even than anyone in Winterfell, and therefore deserve a better life in King's Landing (irony how things turned out).

To me, the death of Lady seemed to mean that she was out of "the pack", a result of her siding with someone else over her own family (Joffrey over her own sister). And I mean, even Joffrey wouldn't side with anyone outside his family. And that's the price she had to pay. I'm still hoping to see her come to the realization that she WAS indirectly responsible for Lady's death, that it was in fact on her, and that she really need to stop blaming Arya for it.

Now, as much as I dislike her right from the beginning, I have to say her character development was extremely amazing. She's probably better at political games than any of her siblings, thus there's a high chance she finished this game alive and well as a queen somewhere.

Meek Murph Just read preview chapter from TWOW for Sansa she's definitely more mature, smarter, and suddenly really witty although you still get the feeling she's a child who wouldn't do jack without Littlefinger's instructions it's definitely a step in the right direction

Yes, they are all..."

Are you addressing me, or some other Matt?

Lilly I understand the initial judgement of Sansa, but as you said, she's an 11 year old girl who went through some rather horrible stuff. But yes, as the series goes on, she becomes a lot different. If you are up to date on TV show, you can see she is a entirely different person now than she was at the beginning. I know the TV show is leaving the books a bit, but I find it unlikely Martin would allow the show to take an entirely different route. I think now (in the TV Show) Sansa is about as tough and merciless as Arya but for different reasons and in different ways. At the end of the book, there was a visual shift in her character. She is no longer romanticizes life as a princess or queen.

SPOILERS: I think he has literally no say in it. they can do anything they want with the show Martin has no rights. He's friends with the writers but if they wanted to have Sansa raped in every single episode of the show then die and get resurrected they could. She's become a badass character although i don't think the show sells the mistrust with Jon very well they're just trying to excuse the massive changes they made to her story

William I have to admit, I absolutely hated Sansa in the beginning, she didn't seem to have any of the regard for subjects of her family's lordship the way her father did. She couldn't take care of herself, and was too interested in her handsome prince than she was in the butcher boy's life. Later on she certainly becomes a little more mature (given regards to my current place in the series) but I honestly feel like she should be fighting harder, the way that her entire family is doing in every one of their circumstances. She spends often a lot of time crying and complaining about her situation than she does fighting for her rights or even PLOTTING an escape.
