Alternatively, Halloween 3 is an under-appreciated installment of the series.
And Trick ‘r Treat is a great Halloween based anthology movie.
So hard to choose!
I too LOVE Trick 'r Treat. It seems to be a cult classic, and rightfully so! Failing that, I think it's fair to say that Cabin in the Woods is a modern classic. Such an intelligent but loving send-up of the entire horror genre.

If we're going "Halloween" theme or if we do this again ON 10/31, then I say 1978 Halloween starring the original boogeyman himself, Michael Myers.....no doubt.

I'm with June; Halloween presented a seminal moment in horror movie history, which untold others have tried to emulate; but Trick r Treat is a great Halloween movie, too. And, as Jennifer says, it really does capture that 'old school' feel.
I say let's double bubble! ;)

It's all about demand. If people participate, we'll do it again. If not, we won't. Now, with that being said, I would love it if it became a regular thing.

The overwhelming consensus was for these three movies, Friday the 13th, Trick R Treat, and Halloween. Since we have three weekends before Halloween, here's what we're going to do. We will watch all of them.
The schedule will be as follows:
Friday, October 13th - Friday the 13th (1980)
Friday, October 20th - Trick R Treat (2007)
Friday, October 27th - Halloween (1978)
I will set up each individual threads. You're free to go on there anytime and discuss the movies. To avoid spoilers, don't go on the thread until after you've watched the movie. If this turns out to be a hit, we'll continue with 4 more movies in November.

Now that sounds like a good plan! I haven't watched Friday the 13th for quite a few years. Great movie to kick things off!

8:00 pm EST"
I think that's about 2am in my world, so I'll probably start without you! ;)

Once a month would work out well I reckon, Latasha.:)

Theoretically, you could start anytime you would like. The thread will remain open indefinitely. Also, I warn all of you, if you haven't watched the movies, to not go through the posts of the threads because there will be spoilers.

Tim, watch it when your schedule allows and then join in on the conversation. The thread will be up indefinitely.
