Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments Home again. Red eye flight, going to bed now. I finished The summer we came to life on the plane.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments I finished the genre book: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho , 07.17.2014

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Countdown to the end of week one: 3 days, 3 hours & 13 mins.....

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6237 comments Sallie, I will be finishing the The Suffragette Scandal (Brothers Sinister, #4) by Courtney Milan later on today so I still have time to read a 350-400 page book before the deadline.

Is there any particular letter we are short on you want someone to read...

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Anything at the moment would be good...im missing R&I but think they will be covered by tomorrow maybe, Ive got a R to finish for the count so anything else would be great dont think we will make a 3rd time thru but y'all are doing an amazing job with covering letters so it wouldnt surprise me if we managed to get a 3rd go in time.

message 116: by Renee (new)

Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments Power nap and I'm back at it. Sallie would you like me to type up all our books and links to bookshelves etc into one post on this thread so you can just link to it when we are ready to submit?

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments That would be awesome....thought u were sleeping...you are up already?

message 118: by Renee (new)

Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments I got a couple of hours in, but tv and cereal only kept the kids occupied for a little while. They just fell asleep again, but now I'm wide awake. It's nearly lunchtime, so i should try to push through or I'll be all out of whack. I'll put that post together later this arvo. I'll use some of my posts at the beginning of the thread so they are easy to find and we can track all weeks in the same spot. I'll just put the previous week under a spoiler once it's done.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Ok whatever is easiest for you....jet lag is such a bitch. If I switch time zones flying to east coast isn't so bad for me but the west coast to home or Europe to home kills me every time. I try to stay on whatever time zone I'm in so if everyone is up I stay up etc...that's the part about traveling I hate Hope u had a wonderful vacation....

yeah, I had a lot of time this past week and I though it would be a bigger challenge for me to read them in a timely manner.

Erin just put a finish date on them & make sure you have them shelved as read on the shelf you created for this challenge...wow. We may even make 4 times thru. Wow. I'm so excited...awesome job.

message 126: by Renee (new)

Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments Erin, your profile is private so I can't access your wheelathon shelf to verify your books. I sent you a friend request which will solve this and let me help Sallie organise our books. Thanks.

message 127: by Renee (new)

Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments I have edited my first post HERE to gather all our books, shelves etc together ready to submit. Sallie, I juggled a couple of books from the spreadsheet to get an extra book in our first read through. I'll add Erins books once verified.

message 128: by Erin (new)

How a "spell it out" works
Spell out the word(s) using the first letter in the book's title, the first letter in the author's first or last name, the first letter in the series name, or the first letter of a character's first, last, or nick-name. As always, if the first letter of a title starts with an indefinite or definite article ('A', 'An', 'The', etc.), you may use the first letter of the second word in the title to spell out your chosen word. If your book starts with a number (e.g. 24 Bones) use the number to determine the first letter (in this example, it would be T)

Each book can only be used for one letter. But the book that is used for the genre may also be used for a letter.

Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments Post 4 updated upto message 134.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6237 comments Thought so. Thanks for the clarification, Renee.

message 138: by Renee (new)

Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments I got dubbed Loophole Queen in the last challenge. I think you might be Loophole Princess Lisa! Lol.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6237 comments Well, us Aussies are a tenacious lot, LOL.

message 140: by Renee (new)

Renee (reneeconoulty) | 3309 comments I went through all the fine print and if I didn't find the "or" that I bolded, I would have argued that one! Nice thinking outside the square Lisa. Awesome trading everyone! Erin did an entire read through on her own and we are one book off the second read through which Sallie had lined up to finish and halfway through round 3!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6237 comments Yeah, absolutely great work team! And its only week 1.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Renee - If you dont mind, Im thinking I am going to change the spreadsheet to look something like yours since I think it definitely makes it much easier to see what we have finished & what we are currently reading etc....

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Thank you Renee for your help with the organization...my time has been very limited but the list looks great....

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Ok once again I have tweaked the spreadsheet so its a lot easier to follow - Thanks Renee for the help with getting us organized once again....whew!!! Im almost finished with the "R" book so we will have 2 reads of Spiritual finished WOW we are an awesome team

SthTx Dawn (dawn99) | 226 comments nice job team!

Sallie, I have a question..In my book First Grave on the Right, one of the character's names is Reyes. Would that be able to count for the challenge?

yes it will - I will add you to an "R" - I saw where you had finished that but for the life of me could not remember where it would fit...I could remember everyone of the main characters except him...how could I forget him? lol

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6237 comments Sallie, do we have to have all the letters read in a round to get the points. I mean for example the third or fourth run through?

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Lisa - (Aussie Girl) wrote: "Sallie, do we have to have all the letters read in a round to get the points. I mean for example the third or fourth run through?"

No - we have get bonus points if we have all of the letters in our genre filled & then we get 10 points for every letter there after...but we only have to read our genre once - did that explain it ok? Sometimes its hard to think & type at the same time..lol

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments I have updated the spreadsheet -

I finished my "R" book took with Frozen Heat, Richard castle (Rook character)
