Thanks, Lusie! I'm going to read It Came From The Deep as it fits the #loveozya bingo challenge I'm doing this month. I haven't got a bingo yet as I'm reading however Bookopoly dictates so far lol (way to be random!)

I bought The Witchwood Crown (The Last King of Osten Ard #1) on Friday! A publisher here had a pop up sale for charity and it was $5 -too good to resist ;p

message 7: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Bingo reading challenges can be fun. Good luck with getting bingo!

I still want to read The Witchwood Crown. Maybe we could do a buddy read of it once you finished the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series.

A Gathering of Shadows - I like this series
The Book of Life - I've heard good things about this book. It's on my tbr as well, but I haven't read book 1 yet.
Happy Hour in Hell - I loved the first book, but couldn't get into this book. I hope that goes better for you.

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Good morning Stacie!

A Gathering of Shadows - I thought this was a great series.
Lincoln in the Bardo - I keep seeing this book in the stores.
Warcross - it's on my tbr. If you end up reading this one I'd love to hear what you think of it.

Amy | 2231 comments Hi Lusie, just landed on your square and would appreciate three picks from Amy's bookopoly shelf. Thanks!

message 15: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Amy. Here you go:

The Rose & the Dagger - I like this series
Without Merit - I want to read this too
Always Watching - this sounds good

Amy | 2231 comments Lusie wrote: "Hi Amy. Here you go:

I have Without Merit audio version on hold, but it will be some time before it shows up. I just placed The Rose & the Dagger audio on hold and I'm first on the list, so hopefully it will arrive soon. The third choice is only available in print at my library, and I have a bunch of books to read already, so I've got to hold out for the audios.

message 17: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Do you often listen to audio book, Amy?

message 18: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2231 comments Lusie wrote: "Do you often listen to audio book, Amy?"

Absolutely! I love to watch sports on TV, so I mute the sound and listen to a book while watching a basketball game, tennis match, golf tournament, etc. I also listen in my car and while doing chores. I probably complete 10 audios to 1 print.

message 19: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments That's great you enjoy audiobooks so much. Chores must be more fun that way. I usually listen to music when doing chores.

I get easily get distracted while listening to an audiobook and miss part of the story. So I don't think audiobooks are for me.

Joyce (eternity21) | 714 comments /review/list...

I've landed on your spot.

Hi can I have three picks from my shelf? Thank you

message 21: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Joyce,

My Life Hereafter - A standalone. This sounds like it could be good.
Sins of the Night - A series to continue. Great that you are already at book 7.
A Court of Thorns and Roses - A new series for the New Year. I think this series is great. I gave book 2 five stars. I like that there are lots of turns and twists in the plot.

message 22: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (eternity21) | 714 comments thank you I am probably going to go with A court of thorns and roses as I keep hearing so much good stuff about it.

message 23: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2689 comments hi Lusie! can i get 3 picks please?

/review/list...

message 24: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Dee! Here you go:

The Painted Veil - this sounds like something I'd like to read too
How the Duke Was Won - an easy read. Do you like this author? I sometimes read book like this but they are starting to sound the same, so now I'm looking for another author.
I'll Meet You There - something different than the other two

message 25: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2689 comments thanks Lusie...i'm leaning towards I'll Meet You There cause it fits into moving mountains as well as another challenge outside PAS...but i'm also a sucker for historical romances :) (although Lenora Bell is a me to me author)

message 26: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Which authors do you like for historical romance? So far I've read Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn and Eloisa James and Shanna by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. It's still a new genre to me

message 27: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2689 comments Lisa Kleypas for sure (I have an ARC of her newest that is due out in March); Elizabeth Hoyt; Jodi Thomas

not really publishing anymore but comfort reads - LaVyrle Spencer; I also like Julie Garwood historicals (not so much her romantic suspense)

message 28: by Lisette (last edited Feb 08, 2018 12:19PM) (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Thank you very much Dee. I'll check if the library has got any books by those authors.

That's great you have got an ARC on the newest book by Lisa Kleypas! Lucky you.

message 34: by Julinda (new)

Julinda | 35 comments Hi Lusie, can you please choose 3 books for me, thank you.

message 35: by Lisette (last edited Apr 08, 2018 04:55AM) (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Julinda. Sure :)
Could include the link to your shelf next time? That would make it easier.

The Night Circus - I love this book. I still want to re-read it.
The Borrowed Girl - interesting title.
Dilemma - I'm impressed you are at book 16 of this series! That's impressive.

message 36: by Julinda (new)

Julinda | 35 comments Thank you Lusie. Don't be too impressed, I haven't read the other 15 books in the series. I picked this one up second hand and didn't even realise that it was part of a series until a long time later. I read it earlier in the year (will check my status) so I think I will read The Borrowed Girl as it has been hanging around for a very long time.

Thanks again
Judy

Ticker - I think this sounds like an interesting book.
Shift - I chose this because the cover is blue, which is my favorite colour.
Burn for Me - Ilona Andrews is always a good choice. Though I haven't tried this series yet.
