Tell us what books in a series you’re reading, along with any standalone titles.

I finished listening to Complicated by Kristen Ashley and, as usual with her books, got hooked from beginning to end. Here’s my review.

I finished listening to Tamarack County by William Kent Krueger, Cork O’Connor #13, and couldn’t put this one down either. Lots going on. Here’s my review.

I’m listening to The Crossing by Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch Universe #27.

I am a fan of Kristen Ashley but sometimes she's a mixed bag for me. I'll have to try this one.

I moved forward with #2 Dead Scared Dead Scared (Lacey Flint, #2) by Sharon J. Bolton , which was good.

Monica | 860 comments I am not off to a great start getting caught up on series. I've already started a new one, lol. But I did move right on to the second, and I'm starting the third and final one today.

Good Girls Don't {Donovan Brothers Brewery #1} and Bad Boys Do {Donovan Brothers Brewery #2} by Victoria Dahl. Enjoyed both of them quite a bit.

I also read a stand alone by my favorite, Kristan Higgins. So many of her books are 5 star reads for me. Whenever a new one comes out, I'm so afraid it's going to be a dud (even great authors have those!). Not the case for Now That You Mention It. It might even be one of my top 3 favorites of hers. Very good book, she's done it once again.

I LOVED the Donovan Brothers Brewery! Read it a few years ago. Before you read the third book, there’s a novella that’s critical to read first.

I’m reading Higgins book this month!

Monica | 860 comments Ooh, good to know. I wouldn't have known that! Thanks, Jonetta.

And I hope you love the Higgins' book even half as much as I did.

I went off plan for a quick read after having read two friends reviews of this really short story (19 pages). Before the Clock Strikes Six by Justin Tate is a Hitchcock-like horror story and here’s my review.

I finished listening to The Crossing by Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch Universe #27, a mashup of Harry and Mickey that delivered. Here’s my review.

I’m now listening to Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor, the third and final book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series.

Laura I started a new series and binged to get current In Skates Trouble (Chicago Rebels, #.5) by Kate Meader Irresistible You (Chicago Rebels, #1) by Kate Meader So Over You (Chicago Rebels, #2) by Kate Meader . It is about 3 estranged sisters who inherit their fathers hocky team. I'm enjoying it and can't wait until the next one.
I also finished Tracers #11 At Close Range (Tracers, #11) by Laura Griffin . Another solid installment in the series.

Also Tracers #12 is only 1.99 right now

Jeff I just finished The Wolves (John Wells, #10) by Alex Berenson (John Wells, #10). I've really liked the series overall, but especially enjoyed the story arc in books 8 through 10. I'm glad I just started the series a year or so ago and didn't have to wait a whole year between each of those books, if I had been current. Most of the other books have had one main plot line that gets wrapped up in a single book.

Waiting between installments is kind of the worst form of torture for us readers. I've been waiting for a series to wrap up before I move forward, and she just keeps announcing more books! I might have to just suck it up and wait a year between books.

message 18: by Monica (new)

Monica | 860 comments I just finished Unveiled (Turner #1) by Courtney Milan. I know, surprise, surprise, Monica started another new series. And made myself cringe while typing that in third person. But! This book was soooo good. I put it off because I was a little judgy about the cover (which has rarely worked in my favor, so you'd think I'd learn). It has a lot of the same tropes you find in most romance, but done refreshingly different. And the hero is an alpha without being an alphole (Thanks for that one, Anita).

Yeah, I only have two books remaining before I'm caught up on this series (including the latest one coming out in a few weeks). I've been reading about one of these a month for the last year or so, so I'll miss it either way, but definitely hoping there isn't a big cliffhanger...

Meera | 138 comments I read Murder on Astor Place (Gaslight Mystery, #1) by Victoria Thompson last week and found it to be a perfect weeknight reading and it's going to be hard for me to not go onto the second one before next month. I started and finished a graphic novel series - Alex + Ada The Complete Collection by Jonathan Luna which I found enjoyable. Also started a new series with A Promise of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles, #1) by Amanda Bouchet and Breath of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles, #2) by Amanda Bouchet . And caught up to date with this graphic novel series by reading Trees, Vol. 2 Two Forests (Trees, #2) by Warren Ellis . It's been a good month of reading so far.
