Jamie Zaccaria This month's theme is the perfect excuse for me to finally check this one out!

One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

Eve (eveofrevolution) | 123 comments lol I read a review that said "I'm putting all this under a spoiler just in case, I don't consider these spoilers but the author seems to think they are by her delivery" so I thought it was just really mild spoilers but NOPE, the reviewer spoiled the ending in her second paragraph under the cut. I had it on my list but now that I know the ending I feel like it won't be a fun read :/

Juliana (julzreads) | 94 comments Damn! I knew I should have held off on reading this book. Now I have to pick another one for April. Haha.

I liked this book, btw. I found it interesting and a quick read.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked this book. I saw a lot of negativity about it (view spoiler).

Sheneve Butler | 12 comments I just finished the book and I really enjoyed it. I started the book not really caring about the Bayview Four, but I really liked them all by the end. I guess it was mainly because I agreed with Jake (yeah, I know) about About That, but less judgmental than him. If you're going to do something shady, own up to it. But no one should be (view spoiler). How Simon managed to run About That for 3 years, I will never know. Students were really okay letting him terrorize them for that long. I don't believe it for a second. It would be one thing if it was anonymous, but they all knew it was Simon. I knew why they all ended up in detention early on, but I wasn't clear on their motive. I can't believe it took them so long to connect the dots and clearly see that certain things weren't coincidence. The book could have been a hundred pages shorter if they followed up on the car crash sooner.

Jamie Zaccaria I just started and I have to say it's frustrating reading all these entries in first person and knowing some of them may be complete lies. I'm not sure what to expect.

Jamie Zaccaria The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars is the perfect description. I liked this book quite a lot. Although part of the "twist" I saw coming from miles away, the other part shocked the heck out of me. The author did a great job at developing the characters and their secrets at a steady pace.
