Of Mice and Men
question
identity and society in that time

firstly, this book is talking about there are two main character were moving from one place to the other to find jobs. From chapter 1, it is clearly shows that they are poor people, because they were walking to the other place. However, there is a question, why the author want to use these two characters to show the society and identity in that time. As I know, there is a person that looks like big, but he is a good people with loving some pets; conversely, there is another people, who looks like small, but from some sentences, he seems like a bad person. Why these two people were walking together.
Secondly, from the book background itself, it provide an information that American was in the great depression time. However, from these two characters which they move hardly to go other places to find jobs, it could easily understand that people were not give up yet, and they were trying to find some ways to earn money and support their families.
It is important to clear a question that do these two characters are good friends? or they just use each other.
