When you enter contests be aware that you will be signed up for all these author's newsletters.

Yup you are. I get a million of them. I get a lot of great freebies that way.

You can always opt out of the newsletter when you get one. There's always an unsubscribe link.

What I don't like are contests that make you follow authors on amazon. If it isn't an author I read, think I'll read or have a passing interest in I NEVER ENTER THOSE!!!

Here's why, I like the fact that Amazon recommends books when I'm in the kindle store or after I've made a purchase. Adding authors who you definitely will NEVER read screws the recommendations up. They skew the algorithm or whatever Amazon uses for recommendations. I've had it happen and it really ticked me off.

I use Google Chrome so all I have to do is click and auto fill the entry forms for Writerspace

An internet friend and book blogger Kim Bishop has a Facebook group and she's giving away a signed book and some swag.

It's a closed group so you would have to join.



It's a lowkey group. Not much happening. And honestly, she hasn't had much time for book blogging. She is a big supporter of indie authors.

She gets swag from authors and book conventions.

Genre is mostly paranormal, but she does do some romance free book links.
