A place to find links for sites and publishers with review programs. Also, other ways to become a book reviewer.

I found this site several weeks ago. It was started by an author to bring readers and authors together. It has a lot of books listed for free in exchange for an honest review. There are two types of review programs on the site. One is just basic reviews and the other is elite reviews. You can sign up for either or both. It's called AXP and the link below is for the reader/reviewer sign up.

I post a lot of links under free books for sites like instafreebie, bokcave and bookfunnel giveaways. When you download a book from these sites you sign up for the authors mailing list. Independent authors are always looking for beta and ARC readers/reviewers and use mailing lists to let you know when they have openings on their teams.

Mailing lists are a great way to become a part of a favorite authors team. If you have favorite authors I recommend signing up for their newsletter and joining their Facebook groups.

I've grown to love independent authors because of their outreach to readers. They value the relationships they have with readers.

HarperCollins has a program called bookperk page turners. It's basically a program where you take short surveys. I've received two ARC's because I signed up for this program. I was thrilled because I had both on my Amazon wishlist and planned to buy them when they were released in the next few months. I'm sure HarperCollins didn't know that but it worked out well for me.

Hidden Gems ARC review is a site you can join and sign up to review ARC's. I've looked at it a little and some of the books available say they need 100 to 500 people to write reviews.

You choose the genres and books you're interested in and then submit your name to review specific books that interest you. There is no guarantee you'll be chosen but I would think the chances would be good if they need that many reviews.

The only drawback to using this site is you have to install an e-reader compatible with them.

I signed up with Hidden Gems ARC reviews because I won't send you to a site I know little to nothing about. I submitted a request to review Today I was notified I was selected to review the book and recceived a link to download it. The review has to be completed by the 14th.

The guidelines are simple on the site. I believe this is a good place to find books for ARC revviews. I get an email every day for each genre I'm interested in and can choose to request the book if it interests me. These books seem to be from large publishing companies.

The sign up is also very simple. If it sounds like something you're interested in click the link and give it a try!

Review St. is a site that lists a few books free in exchange for a review. Most are in pdf format so they need to be read on google reader or kindle. If you don't know how to get pdf files transfered to your kindle let me know and I'll post instructions. It's really easy.

Love Kissed Books is looking for people for their review team. This is an all romance publisher. Here is a link for their sign up page.

Living Sensical is part of Midwest Journal Press. They have a page that lists all the instafreebie giveaways. There are currently 26 of them and they are genre specific. I recommend signing up for their mailing list because you'll always have the most current instafreebie information. Instafreebie is a great way to connect with authors and become part of their "street teams." Street teams are dedicated readers who are ARC reviewers. When you download a book on instafreebie be sure to check the box to sign up fir the authors mailing list. You can always opt out any time you want. Here is the link:

I have been hearing more and more about reviews getting pulled from Amazon. Never say you got a book in exchange for an honest review on you Amazon reviews. This is against their policies and they will pull the review and maybe you won't get to review anymore. Reviewers just need to let them know you got a free copy from the author---and you are choosing to write a review. The review must always be your choice to write. Stay away from litring. I think that's the name of the site. If not I'll correct it later. I started getting mail from them so I finally clicked on a link.

If you review a book for that site apparently they own it. You are prohibited from posting it anywhere else including amazon and goodreads.
