Andy, do you mean the "search discussion posts" search box on the desktop website? I find it works. Can you give an example and provide the web address (URL) of the page you're looking at?
(I find the "search review text" search box on a specific book page doesn't work.)

There's some reports in the Feedback Group that several search functions on GR are screwed up right now.
Here's the thread.

Kris that's a known bug, staff suggestion was to put search terms in quotes when searching review text, even if it's just one word, otherwise it acts screwy. Disappointing to see they still haven't fixed it yet though.

Aerulan, thanks for the tip about using quotes! I'd almost given up on using GR's book reviews search.

I see what you mean. Searching for "ya" returns only 32 results and "romance" also returns only 32 results (like an upper limit?). This is clearly wrong as a majority of our requests are young adult or romance related. I wonder if this is a temporary glitch. I hadn't noticed this problem.

I'm going to guess trivia has the same problem (limited date range) which is why Updike, Vonnegut have zero results and Austen only one result.
That thread says it's fixed, but it's still not working for me. Is it working for others?
E.g. when I search the word "romance" I get 5 pages of results but only the first two are visible (the second three get the error message that search is down, use this time to read a book, gee thanks...), and on the first two there is still nothing older than July 5th.

Yeah it's still broken, searching "genre" which should come up with tons considering how often that word is used only brings up 22 matches. Oldest June 22nd.
I think some of the people saying it's fixed were talking about the add book/author function which was also not working.

Which returns 65 out of the 12,700 without a search term. Not complete, but better than 5. Replace 'Asimov' with your desired search term
