Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

Im really enjoying the story line so far. I like how its based at a beach house and one girl with 3 boys who are like brothers to her even though judging by the title im sure thats going to change soon enough. I do find that with the bouncing back and forth between ages you have to really pay attention to the timeline. Im not sure who im hoping for between conrad and jeremiah yet for belly. The friendship between Beck (susannah) and their mom is heartwarming, that through everything they can still be friends and keep the beach house summer tradition alive. (hide spoiler)]

We see a little bit of jealousy on both Bellys side with her friend Taylor and also with Conrad. Does he secrectly have a thing for her? Or is it more of the doesnt want his sister to be dating. We meet Cam and she gets her 'first' real kiss. There is also something going on with Conrad that we havent found out yet but he is starting to smoke and drink. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 26-30
(view spoiler)[ We begin to really see the feelings that Jeremiah has for Belly when the story reverts back to the truth or dare night. Im sure that these feelings will continue to be shown throughout the book. No guy is that close without some type of feelings lol We also see the change in friendship when Belly finds Taylor kissing her brother. Kinda saw that one coming lol When Conrad comes home drunk we find that Belly still loves him but something through his rough exterior tells me he has feelings for her too, and not as a little sister. He has become very protective of her and jealous of her going out with Cam. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I am not sure how I feel about the ending. I do like that I know there are still more books because it just cant end like this lol. I thought that the reason for the behaviours was divorce and was not happy it was that Beck was dying. I loved her as a character and the optimism and happiness she brought. But our girl got the kiss she has been wanting for a very long time and thats exciting! but i still feel for Jeremiah, his love for Belly is clearly strong :( (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 6 (view spoiler)[ This is eh so far. I'm not really sold with any of the guy characters and Belly's brother is an asshole. I hope she has other friends besides Conrad & Jeremiah otherwise this is going to suck (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 41 (view spoiler)[ This book is dumb and I'm annoyed by all of the characters. Cam deserves better than Belly. All this shit about how she magically "turned pretty" one summer is stupid and I'm not a fan of this. Also Conrad is a fucking asshole why does she even like him!? He's like the quintessential 2007 emo kid. Stupid trope I'm over it. (hide spoiler)]

I'm kind of glad they didn't tell Belly, this way if she had ignored Susannah anyway it wasn't as hurtful. Ch. 6 (view spoiler)[ God all this stuff about Susannah's death really makes me want to cry. Susannah was such a good mother and friend. I think I liked her character the best and now she's gone (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 12 (view spoiler)[ All of this shit with prom is stupid. And Belly is still fucking stuck in her own little world. She didn't even let Conrad explain himself! She assumed he wanted to break up and then ran away. Wtf is wrong with this girl, HIS MOTHER IS DYING BITCH BE A LITTLE EMPATHETIC (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 12 (view spoiler)[ All I keep thinking is how Conrad and Belly fought in one of the books and he told she was stuck up and selfish. Also that she had her cake and wanted to eat it too. And both of those things are so fucking true, it's ridiculous. At least Taylor isn't as annoying in this book so far. The Jeremiah cheating thing is dumb, especially since Belly is too fucking caught up on Conrad to truly love anyone else. (hide spoiler)]

Conrad is his mom, he just doesnt know it yet, he goes to visit the old man weekly, helps Belly when his brother doesnt show, does nice things for others like talk to her mom to get her to go to the wedding no matter how much im sure he doesnt want to see them married all because it will make Belly happy. 100% (view spoiler)[ They are finally together!! As much as this story dragged on I wish they would have added a little bit more about the ending of their love story. It ends at the wedding?! Like they have mentioned how she was a virgin this whole time, first kiss, how Jeremiah had already been with two other people, how her friends were coaching her about it hurting vs. not hurting, then they ended it right at the wedding?! Speaking of....it took me a while to figure out that she is 15. 15, people! Even if, and I mean IF, Conrad does have feelings for her, he's 18! He is smarter than to go after a 15 year old (I hope). I expected her to mess around with everyone's feelings, but I am really disappointed that Steven would betray Jeremiah like that. I thought they were best friends. Gross.
