Thanks. The power came back a little after midnight, and the wifi was working again this morning when I got up.

Shelf: Urban Fantasy
Book: Touch the Dark by Karen Chance

Rating: 4 stars
Review:
I don't think I really knew what this book was about except that it was a popular Urban Fantasy series, and that I've seen a lot of people recommend it. I like the mix of supernatural creatures, and I really liked Cassandra! I find that if I can't be drawn in by the MC then I won't enjoy the book. There were quite a few interesting characters, and I really like the world Chance has developed. I'm already going to be reading the second book for a different challenge, so I'm excited to see where this goes.

Review:
This was truly the worst cozy mystery I have read in awhile. The MC and the detective were quite rude to one another, so the sudden suggestion of a relationship at the end made no sense. The investigation was a string of illogical accusations with no proof thrown around randomly at anyone who knew the victim even remotely. None of the characters were well developed, and the plot was poorly done.

Nice! I really enjoyed that one.

I'm about to start

Book: Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night by Kresley Cole
Read: 11.28.18
Rating: 4 stars
Review:
Sorry it took me so long to read this, I had a bunch of other things going on, and so this one got pushed to the side a lot of the time. I have a soft spot for werewolves, and Scottish men, so Bowen was hitting all my buttons! I also really love anything with witches so this book seemed like a top one for me. I really love Cole's writing, and her romance and the characters. But I'm getting a little bit bored with the Hie happening in pretty much every book. I think the prequel/first book didn't have one. I understand this is how you can get most supernaturals together, it just feels repetitive. Overall, enjoyed it and can't wait to get to the next one.

It's been fun playing with all of you! Until next time... :D

Shelf: Warrior
Book: Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
Read: 12.5.18
Rating: 4 stars
Review:
I am a fan of Leigh Bardugo's writing, and story building after reading the Grisha Verse trilogy. I am also a comic book fan, so this was a hit! However, my problem was my continual comparison of it to the movie with Gal Gadot. The beginning is slightly similar, but other than that it's not much. I just couldn't stop doing it, and it took away from the book for me which is why it is 4 stars instead of 5. Not really a fault of the book, more my own issue.
