Q&A Thread
Review Thread

**The SS was not made for planning purposes. The reason everyone has a SS is because each week when you put your books into the columns it will tally up how many points you've gotten that week so far so you will always know how close to reaching the goal your team is. The box that has a zero in it above the 'total' column is where you'll see your weekly weight lose so far. It adds up all of the total points for each book put in there. Obvi, as long as everyone adds their books when they've finished. Your team cannot put books in there that haven't been reviewed on the review thread. Otherwise your point tally will be incorrect. The SS is for finished books. Not books planned.

Let me know if anyone is going to be co-captain.

Please check in by January 1st! :D

Just so everyone knows, I tried to make these teams as even as I could with how many books per month were said by each member. If we have people that sign up before January 1st that will seriously upset the balance, I'll be moving people around to make everyone fit the best way I can.

After January 1st, I will not be moving anyone around. (:

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Hi!

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I'm okay being co captain. :)

Felicia | 15003 comments Gotcha. :D

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments So I have quite a few books planned for the next few months. I don't know how many I will get to but I'm going to try my best to get to them all. Anyone want to BR any of the books on this shelf? I have set dates in mind for some so I might not be able to be flexible.

/review/list...

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I added a planned read section to the SS for us. Just for week one though. We'll see if we like it before adding it to the other weeks.

Awesome. I'm hoping to read most of the Anita Blake in January. It's a long series though so it might take me into Feb.

Except for Immortal Girls and A Mark Unwilling I have very specific dates and more general dates. Is that okay?

message 21: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 3851 comments Yes that's fine. I'm totally flexible with book read dates.

Awesome. I'm just adding in the books to my SS now to get it all organized and then I'll post the dates here. :)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments For the Anita Blake books I say we start on the 2nd of Jan and just keep it open and active. How fast do you read? Cause some of them are quite long. :)

As for A Mark Unwilling and Immortal Girls I can do the 2nd and 3rd of Jan. Both are short. :)

message 26: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 3851 comments I read about 40 books/month. Sounds good to just keep open Anita Blake for the whole time of the challenge. That way others can join us too if they want to read Anita Blake.

The other two sound good too. I'll mark them down in my plan.

Awesome! I'm hoping to read at least that much as well. We shall see. I have it all planned out just have to read it. :P

Perfect. I'll ask for the thread. :)

I'm going the opposite way.

message 31: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Decided to make a separate sheet for planning. We can use it for all three months now. :)

message 32: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Haha. I have been struggling to enjoy what I read slately so just whatever fits my mood. I do have a list of options that sound the best, fit other challenges or are a priority for me but that is about it. I have a few BRs planned over at YA and that is it so far. But as I pick up a book I will let everyone know. Honestly not sure how much SS tracking we need for this challenge though since it is so open.

Yeah but we need to know if we are going to meet our monthly point goal of 2500.

message 35: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Participants will be split into teams, as evenly as possible. Each team will start off with a weight of 7,500 page points to lose. That doesn’t mean pages, we are talking about the page points!

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Plus I'm bored. We can always delete the planning thread later on if need be.

message 37: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

No I don't mean that. I just mean tracking it weekly. I am just curious how needed all those tabs will be. Planning is fine for those that are doing so. Sometimes I have more planned and the few I do I will add later.

I think it's because it's the first team quarterly challenge and the mods want it to go well. They want to make sure no one disappears or isn't pulling their weight. :)

Haha I am not too worried. Just no one be surprised if I suck at adding stuff to it. But I will at least keep chattign here and updating this. Ooh I am hoping for a fun, productive start to the New Year. SO ready to be done with this one and start fresh. Excited for these new challenges.

I'm also going to suck. I'm great a planning horrible at follow through. At least this is a three month challenge so each month I'll have a fresh burst of energy.

Me too!

Same!!!!! The year can't end fast enough for me. I can't use most of my pretty SS until the new year and it's like having to wait to play with a shiny new toy!!

I'm usually the same although not because of my own personal schedule but rather my mom's schedule. Been trying to fix that. Not succeeding much this week though. :/

message 49: by Jamie (new)
