Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Finished my first book of the year for the challenge... Kale to the Queen (A Kensington Palace Chef Mystery #1) by Nell Hampton
This book has been in my TBR pile for a while and I am now wondering WHY? This was a FANTASTIC book! I absolutely loved it. I was so entrenched in the story I wasn't even trying to figure out who the culprit was. Can't wait to read the next one!!

I have this on my TBR for the longest time. It really looks good. I really need to make time for this one.

Glad you found a good one. Isn't that always the best feeling?

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Steamed Open (A Maine Clambake Mystery, #7) by Barbara Ross I can't wait each Winter for the next book in this series. The best part about this series is every book as a sub-story within the mystery. I tend to get so caught up in the sub-story, I forget about trying to figure out who the murder is.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments If Mashed Potatoes Could Dance (Gram’s Country Cooking School Mystery, #2) by Paige Shelton
Started this book a while ago, finally sat down this past week to finish it. I really enjoy the characters, including the ones from 'beyond'.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Death by Coffee (Bookstore Cafe Mystery, #1) by Alex Erickson
I liked the story, I did not like the main character. She's new in town and was running around asking all of these people really inappropriate questions. The cats in the story were hilarious! Probably won't read another one.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Well Read, Then Dead (A Read 'Em and Eat Mystery, #1) by Terrie Farley Moran
Didn't know where to categorize it so I put it in my 'freebies'. This book has been in my TBR pile FOREVER!! It was a good read. Liked the characters, and honestly I didn't even try to figure out who did it. I think I have so work stuff occupying my mind, I'm just glad for the escape. It was kind of obvious who did it and why, but I was just enjoying the story instead of trying to figure out the mystery.

Second of a 3 book series. Fun read, likeable characters. Lots of characters, so sometimes had trouble following who was who, but it also gave lots of suspects, so I had no clue who did it until it was revealed. Looking forward to reading the last book in the series.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Grilled for Murder (Country Store Mysteries #2) by Maddie Day
Second book in the series. Really like this series, like the characters and the theme. Predictable, but that's okay because it's such a fun read.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments The Plot Is Murder (Mystery Bookshop, #1) by V.M. Burns
LOVED IT!!! Fun read. Loved the characters. Her Nana Jo is like Grandma Mazur with a gang. Lots of suspects, was able to figure out the why before the who. Not a huge surprise, but still a great read. Can not wait to pick up the next one.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Staging is Murder (A Laura Bishop Mystery #1) by Grace Topping
Fun read!! Enjoyed the characters. Lots of suspects, kept me guessing until the end. Will definitely continue this series.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Maple Mayhem (Sugar Grove Mystery, #2) by Jessie Crockett
Second in the series...Love the setting, story and characters, although the main character Dani, was a little annoying in this one. Guessed the wrong person and motive.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Southern Discomfort (A Southern B&B Mystery #1) by Caroline Fardig
Great new series!!! Loved the storyline, characters and was completely stumped until the end. Can't wait until the next book in the series!

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments The Fatal Funnel Cake (A Fresh-Baked Mystery, #8) by Livia J. Washburn
Made me want to go to the Texas State Fair!! This series is always a visit with old friends. Enjoyed the story, figured out who did it and why, but there was a little twist that I didn't see. I usually adore Phyllis's character, but she was a little annoying especially making poor Sam run all over. She seemed a little more 'needy' than usual.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments Read Herring Hunt (Mystery Bookshop, #2) by V.M. Burns
Really enjoying this series. I absolutely adore Nana Jo! If you are a fan of Grandma Mazur. you will appreciate this character. All of the characters are likeable and the story is intriguing. Just like the first book, I was able to figure out who did it about three quarters of the way, but it didn't take away from the story as a whole. Look forward to the next one.

Tonya De Lige | 129 comments And Then There Were Crumbs (A Cookie House Mystery, #1) by Eve Calder
New series!! Absolutely LOVED it!! I was a bit hesitant because generally cozies over 300 pages tend to drag on a little, but not this book. Great characters, great storyline and was completely off base on whodunit!! Next book comes out in Spring 2020. Can't wait!
