This is a title that your nearest library almost assuredly has (or can reserve for you) -- but you may need to check it out for more than 2 weeks to finish this 800+ page monster.

Copies for under $4 (including s/h) available at AbeBooks.com:

PS: There are tons of variant covers for this book. Here's an old-school style one I like from 1996:

Hi Pien, if you want a 'Buddy Read' topic put up for Ken Follet's Fall of Giants, let us know by posting a request here: /topic/show/...

I still plan on reading this one this year, but Pien and I might buddy read the entire Century Trilogy so it might be a few months until I get to it.

I have finally started and oh my, is it good. Though I have seen some reviews where they say nothing gets resolved. I'm not sure how I feel about that as I like to be told a story, even if there are massive cliffhangers. I like some resolution. But at least I won't have to wait for them to be published, so I can treat the series like one massive book.

Kelsey Thomas | 2 comments I haven’t started it yet but I’ve heard the books are wonderful! I’m looking forward to reading it

I will have to pass. There was never anything about this series (show or book) that made me want to read it. LOL! I hope everyone else has a great time reading it though!

Vickie (bookfan4ever) Doubt I'll get to this one either. Just too much on my plate to get through.😒

I completely forgot this was the yearly read after I started it. Haha! I finished it last month and it enjoyed it very much. Can’t wait to start the next one, though I have a few others I need to get through first...

Stuart Land (stuartland) Well, since I just joined the group, luckily for me, I read all five volumes. And saw all the TV shows. All books great! The TV show went south with the last season. Not sure how RR will handle this, since he kills off almost everyone.

I managed to get to page 11. 🙄 I'm going to go for 2020's choice with gusto, assuming it's appealing.
