DMR books (Brian Murphy contribution) posts a very interesting article that encourages me to push a H Rider Haggard groupread. King Solomons Mines? SHE?

Interesting similarities with Tolkien and Howard re: views on civilization.

Yes, that'd be a good excuse for me to continue my project of (very slowly) trying to read pretty much everything he wrote; although I think the next one or two in my queue are non-fantastical.

Mary Catelli | 962 comments Both of them wrote in worlds nominally connected to our world but really imaginary. A commonality that looks much more noticeable if you filter out what's happened since they did.
