Protagonist: She has a power that manipulates someone's fears against them, unfortunately using her powers slowly deteriorates her own mental state. Has a sister who has an ability that shuts down other magic around her, this has caused tension between them. Otherwise they have a great relationship.
---SPOILERS---
*Protag. accidentally kills father with her powers when trying to escape him and run away from home. (practically the introduction to the story, happens very early on)
*Joins (or creates?) a rebellion with like-minded people who have powers and are outcaste from society.
*Betrays her newfound friends in the final battle (end of story)
*Destroys her relationship with her sister in response to her sister telling her to give up her magic to save her deteriorating mental state. (end of story)

Characters: (I don't remember any names)
*Sister: Protag.'s only family, strong bond, has a magic dampering affect when in contact with those who have magic.
*Thief(love interest?): has a power that gives him catlike reflexes, recruited to steal something
*Fire boi (other love interest?): I THINK he was the leader of a separate rebellion that protag. befriended to forward her own plans. His power has something to do with fire. Important to story plot. Gets betrayed in final battle.
*Side character: a part of the rebellion, she/he can fly.

*This is a recently written YA novel, I remember reading it around 2014-2016ish. I found it on display at the library so it must've been new at the time I found it.
*I've looked everywhere and still can't find the book. Any help you provide would be amazing!
