Alan Toner | 30 comments As a published Kindle book author, who is always seeking new outlets for promoting my work, what I always find difficult is promoting your book without running the risk of being accused of spamming by forum moderators and the like. Never easy, believe me.

Turhan Halil It's a very organic process and I think you have to be a 'people' person. What I mean by that is, you have to enjoy interacting with others on a very spiritual/meaningful/down to earth/fun kinda way. At least, at some level where you're on the same page (gotta luv that pun, right?) with 'people'

My process is, insofar<--- is that a real word? as I've noticed about myself goes like this. Write-request reviews where appropriate-chat with like-minded people (I'll go back and count how many times I wrote people!) and try to get back to writing again.

None of that is a fool-proof way to gain incredible success, but at least you'll hopefully make a couple of good friends along the way and you get to express yourself through the pages of your book. I read somewhere that only 2% of people (yeah, I know, I said it again) finish writing their book, so by doing so, you're already successful!

Good luck on your journey, enjoy the view, and see you around!

Alan Toner | 30 comments Thank you for the advice. It was much appreciated. Some good points there. Yes, I certainly love interacting with people online, especially when it comes to discussing my favourite books and authors.
