I don't know if I am loving either. Of course I am only on Chapter 3

I read the first five chapters. I'm curious about Gracelings but I thought (view spoiler)[King Randa is a complete bastard in his treatment of Katsa (hide spoiler)].

I'm up to chapter 10 and I'm still not convinced lol

I am in the same place. The book hasn't grabbed me yet. Katsa's dad seems like a King douchebag. Can someone have a talk with Katsa about the birds and the bees please?

I just finished chapter 15. I discovered that I was correct about King Randa~he's a bastard and a coward. Poor Katsa and Po.

I'm on about the same place as you Angie, and Yes the King is a complete pig!!

I am at the part where Katsa screamed at Po in her head to see if his grace would work for internal communication. He almost fell off his horse and told her to just talk to him in a calm tone.

Katsa is so rough around the edges.

Sometimes she acts 16 and sometimes she acts 8 and then she acts wise like an adult. It's all over the place.

Po and Katsa had sex, even though she's a kid. How old is the prince?

I'm struggling to read this. Katsa does act like spoiled child sometimes even though she's 16. I don't think Po is much older than Katsa but I've not seen where his age is listed either.

We just met Bitter Blue.

Chapter 29: Right now, Katsa and BB have hidden and left Po as they try to escape the King and his guards.

Just finished. Talk about build up to nothing. Killing the King was about anticlimactic as watching paint dry. Wow. This book is like putting water to boil, the water getting warm but never boiling to hot.

Thank goodness it's not just me, it was dull, dull, dull.
It has such high reviews too.

You can always DNF. I can't DNF, but I've put it down twice listen to other books.

Next, I MUST read for September to be a reading success
