Julie Rudner | 2 comments I read this book in the 1970's. Probably not a children's book. Odd and a little sad, I think, All I remember is white horses turning into the white caps on waves.

The unicorn is mistaken as a horse. I never read the book, but I saw the movie as a child, and I definitely remember the image of the other white unicorns as caps of waves.

The horns came riding in like the rainbow masts of silver ships.
Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn

Does that sound familiar?
