Cassie clare has made a short story about what happens with Tessa and jem after the CP2 epilogue.

I know!! I'm happy that they get to live a life together, but Jem will eventually die and then Tess will be alone again :( but maybe her or magnus will find the spell that makes a warlock mortal again?? Idk if she'd do that though..

Just read the post on tumblr. When I first finished TID it was hard for me to accept the dynamic and almost symbiotic relationship of Tessa Will and Jem. I was Team Will all the way even if he acted like a douche. But I am glad that Jem and Tessa have each other and I hope that when Jem's mortals days are over they'll find a way to end Tessa immortality so that the three of them can be together. I'm kinda holding on the thing that Will said at the bridge wedding as a promise. Oh gosh I'm gonna cry. Sniff*

1. No offense and I'm really not trying to hate, but I don't think that they'll have a kid in TDA (all though if they do then woo!) but they couulllddd get married!!
2. Also, again no offense, but I don't think that Tessa is going to end her immortality anytime soon because that would probably/basically mean killing herself. It is her choice, but it's been almost a century and a half of her being immortal, and she could have killed herself/ended her immortality anytime back then, and she hasn't, so.... *open ended sentence*

Didn't she not end her life when will died because of jem?? I wouldn't be surprised if tess tries to end her life after jem dies (out of grief, I don't think tess is the suicide type but out of grief we don't know what she'll do. I don't think she'll succeed though (because of magnus), I really don't think tess will die unless in battle

There might be a way to end her immortality in TDA like there was somehow a cure for Jem a century after TID. Btw try to find the bonus comic chapter that comes after the CoHF and you'll see what I was talking about. But read CoHF first or else you'll be spoiled, horribly. Anywho as I have come to finally accept the love between the three of them I think Cassie really did think of making Tessa immortal because of the fix of Jem. If they do somehow have a kid, since with Tessa anything is possible since she is a different breed of a Shadowhunter it would make sense to me if it was a boy for the Carstairs name to be survived. I have my fingers crossed for TDA.

1. *spoilers* do you mean the letter on the leaf to Andrew Blackthorn? The CoHF book I got just had that, no comic chapter.
2. I was thinking more like the type of fate *more spoilers* Asmodeus (is that how you spell it?) had in mind for Magnus. Like, all the immortal years start to catch up to you and basically kills you. That's true, though, if there's a spell that could make you mortal without killing yourself.

Yeah that was my initial reaction like balling my eyes out.... I have no idea if Cassie will continue the trend but she mostly writes up the most devastating (at least to me) and then somehow plans out the happy ending for it. So this is like a promise for that again she can take it wherever she wants. But fingers crossed >_<

I'm gonna do a quick analyzation of this:
2009- TDA series isn't happening (3 years) so jem and Tessa are married by the time TDA happens
Simon's already a shadowhunter so the shadowhunter academy series is prolly late 2008 early 2009

If I'm not mistaken TDA is set 5 years after the Dark War aka CoHF. Just thinking about Jemma makes me want to bang my head on a concrete wall. This is going to be one hell of a ride.

Jemma? Wait ohhhh jemma... This is going to be great. Although am I the only one more excited for TLH than TDA?

There is a spell in the Book of the White that makes strictly warlocks mortal. Magnus said in CoLS "I was thinking about it, you know. It's partly why I wanted the Book of the White." There is more to that quote that I can't recall, and my copy of CoLS is stacked at the bottom of a load of other books, so that complicates things.
If there's anything I've learned about Cassie, it's that she writes characters who carry on with their lives after they lose a loved one. It'd be completely out of character for Cassie to write a devastating conclusion for Jessa where Tessa commits suicide. She didn't do that after Will died; she put herself back together with Magnus's support. Saying that, when Will died, there was still Jem, and I think maybe he was the anchor to the world that stopped her from killing herself, because she had something to live for.
I honestly don't know what to expect after Jem dies, because I know Tessa will never love two boys the same as she loved Will and Jem.
She could choose to become mortal and grow old with Jem, which is another matter completely.

Well when I said that Tessa's immortality would end I wasn't really picturing Magnus' would be fate in the CoHF. Truth is when I first read Clockwork Angel I thought they'd get help from an angel to make Tessa normal because of the birthmark the Herondale's carried in TMI. Also for some odd reason I think Jem is Simon's equivalent in TID. Meaning he might have that uncanny fate to survive out the days of a normal Shadowhunter, in other words dying of old age.
