Pankies (mrspankhurst) | 28 comments This book has a very different feel to other Hardy works and on first impression, I am not so gripped by it. The setting of Portland Bill is quite different, the main character is more sophisticated and as a general comment, the characters seem more one-dimensional.
Would Jocelyn be classified as a "commitment-phobe" today?
