If you have any questions about the challenge - please write them here.

Q: Does the book have to have an MPG tag of Lesbian, Gay, etc?
A: No, it doesn't. However, it doesn't hurt to look for some MPG "somethingsomething" for a certain mystery task.

Q: Would you consider Verity by Colleen Hoover to have author's initials in yellow?
A: Yes, those letters look to be in a lighter shade of yellow.

Q: Can 1 book be used for multiple tasks?

Example Leah on the Offbeat (Creekwood, #2) by Becky Albertalli

Can it be used as ....
'Book that starts with an L' and 'Bisexual Main Character'
A: If you are just reading that book and no one else on your team is - then no it can't count for two tasks. One book per task. Now if you and a teammate are both reading the same book and that book works for two tasks - then yes, it would count because it's one person's book counting for one task.

Q: Can we reuse categories or no?
A: The only repeatable tasks are the two mysterious ones. However, after your team finishes part 3 you can read for any task from part 1-3.

Q: Hi! Are comics allowed?
A: Only for 1/4 the page points, they wont be counted towards a category.

Q: Could Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston work for queer or questioning their sexuality? Alex does spent the first half of the book unaware/questioning if he is gay?
A: So since I haven’t read this yet I had to ask Andrea about it. She said it works for that task 😊

Q: Would this work for red title? The Bride Test (The Kiss Quotient, #2) by Helen Hoang
A: Since the letters, The Bride Test, are in red - yes, it would work.

For the 2 colors, do black and white count as colors?

message 14: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments Ok, I just want to make sure I have a few things straight -
1) we only have to complete one task for each letter in Part one before moving on to part 2, correct?
2) But we need to complete them all before we can get to the free for all at the end when we can repeat tasks, right?
3) if we have a book that doesn't fit into any of the categories, we can post it in the hopes that it will be part of the mystery task in part one?
and 4) If it doesn't fit the mystery task, do we not earn any points for it? In other words, there is no such thing as page points only in this challenge??

That's it for now.

1. Yes, each known task (mysterious tasks do not need to have a book before you move onto part two).
2. Yes, you will need to complete all the known tasks in part one before moving to part two. Then the same, complete all of part two before moving to part three. Once you have finished part 3, then you can read for any tasks within this challenge - part doesn't matter.
3. Yes, if you have a book that doesn't fit any tasks then it can go to the mysterious task.
4. The mystery tasks are just bonus points really if you guessed correctly. If you don't, then you still get the page points for that said book you posted.
