James Joyce (james_patrick_joyce) | 2 comments Not to be contentious, but how is Philip Jose Farmer a person of colour?

If it's his middle name, "According to colleague Frederik Pohl, his middle name was in honor of an aunt, Josie".

Unless the colour is orange.

Welp, James. You caught me making a mistake. Plan on nominating something? I think you got my drift, however.

James Joyce (james_patrick_joyce) | 2 comments I did get your drift.

Not immediately. I think the only novels by POC authors that I currently have are mystery/literary. But I'll check through my library.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I'm torn between The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin and Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments I put my nomination on the wrong thread and got my fingers slapped... sorry.

How about:
Those Who Walk in Darkness

message 7: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Sorry Mike! I should have realized that you were trying to nominate here.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments No worries, just me being funny above. I clicked the wrong link earlier.

:)

message 24: by Ram (new)

Ram Kumar | 4 comments I'm Ram Kumar from India. My latest book, a Sci-Fi short story collection was released on 16th of May. It is titled as "Legerdemain of the Outlandish". Why is it fit for contention: Because it is unique, newfangled and when you read each of the five stories, you can relate to them individually, though they are fully fictitious. Because, these stories will raise questions about morality, science, spirituality, trust, relationships, desire and many other human emotions. Covering all these in sci-fi and thriller genres takes a good amount of creativity, which I think the book carries a lot.

Hence, kindly consider my entry for this book. Here is a link to the book.

Ram Kumar | 4 comments Oh I'm sorry. I totally missed that point. My internet is a bit jumpy as I was on travel. I didn't see the thumb rule there. Thanks for the update Colleen. Please ignore my nomination.
