Gertie (gertiebird) | 132 comments So, this book, Defining Moments, pops into my head every now and then, and I was wondering if anyone else here has read it.

I rarely write a book review that is more than a few sentences long, but I kinda went to town on this one. Review here.

Basically it is about a women who has discovered a place (a portal, really) that lets her travel back in time to a "defining moment", the important moment when everything changed for the worse, in her perspective.

It is a really interesting book because it gets you thinking, and it certainly has some frustrating moments too, though in a way that is part of the entertainment.

Anyway, just curious if anyone else here has read it and what you thought. Did you like it, hate it? Did you agree with the decisions the protagonist made?

I like that it keeps popping into your head. I'll have to read it and get back to this thread later.

Paul (Life In The Slow Lane) (paullovesgin) I suspect the author is writing from personal experience - except the part about going back in time to a defining moment. It just has that fascination that you'd get from reading someone's personal journal. I thought the method of time travel was something different. I wonder why, if she retained her memory when she "reset", she didn't place a few bets on the outcome of sporting events she would have known the outcome? Or horse races?

Cheryl (cherylllr) I have a copy, but it's on my tablet and I'm having difficulty getting through my physical books, which is a priority. I have however nominated for 2018 group reads!
