Operation Harlequin/Mills & Boons Part II

I'm going to start simple. Gloria Bevan (I never met her but she was a friend of my grandmother's) I edited her biography a couple of weeks ago. I still need to check if her photo ok to use & her books.

Thanks Emily. Yes both books from one of the large print companies and both have had Harlequin covers put on them. I'll fix up when I have woken up a bit more

Next I would like to do my two favourites, Susan Napier & Daphne Clair. I know Ms Clair has been marked off but I'm pretty sure that author picture shouldn't be here. & I have a few old copies of Ms Clair's work, so I may be able to supply a few more covers.
Another librarian has done quite a bit of work on Ms Napier recently, so there may not be much to do. :)

This is from the old version of the manual but I don't think anything has changed.
Imprints are not series
Imprints and other unrelated collections of works (usually by multiple authors) are not series. They can be grouped with a Listopia list, or the collection/imprint information can be listed in the edition field, but they should not be grouped into a series, or listed on a book's title line.
As a general rule, a book is only part of a series if that designation would apply to all editions of a work. To be a series, books should have characters and/or universes in common. In the case of imprints and other non-series collections, it is common for some of these books to be published under numerous other imprints as well.
For example, SF Masterworks would not be a series, and neither would Harlequin Blaze.
So my question is - will I have to put in requests for someone to turn these into Listopias for every single "series?" That will be quite time consuming.

It is certainly not required. That info is probably located on other sites anyway.

Hi paperlove
I just tried to message the op of this thread, but she doesn't accept messages.
Could you list here the authors you have already done? :)

You can just look in the last topic on the last page or so. I've listed all the authors I've done. you can e.g. use ctrl + f to search for "paperlove" to find the posts.

I didn't even realise that ŷ had a message system, wouldn't know where to go turn that on :)

You would need to go onto your profile. Click on edit profile You should find the options for messages there.

edit: Updated author bio. Still missing this cover: Easy Man to Love
Lee Stafford doesn't seem to have much of an online presence.

This name is different from the cover. Not on World cat or Amazon on a publisher the name is
I don't think this is a series by GR standards either.
Any advice?

Daphne Clair - I have added some editions that weren't on GR & removed her photo (copyright issues) but there is still work to be done on her books. If anyone wants to jump in, feel free!
I'm still plodding through Susan Napier.

Kicking butt Marisa!

Not sure if she narrated the audiobooks I can't find any information about her.

The original list is getting a little long and won't let me add any more authors so I am moving the completed ones to this post.

I'm currently working on Sara Woods
Is there a good source for Hardcovers?
Red-Hot Revenge is a theme and shouldn't go in editions right?

Harlequin & Mills & Boon are still a big ol mess! Books need to be combined, series added/edited, book covers added (if possible) and author bio filled. For some authors there's a lot of work but for others it's just a simple check up to ensure their profile and books are fine. Pick up as you will, just let us know if you're working on someone!
I have pulled the list over from the old thread, cleaned it up, alphabetised and deleted any duplicates - if there is anyone I’ve missed please let me know and I’ll add them!
Please check this post for the completed authors.

*READ ME - PLEASE* TIPS:
- Imprint line and issue # i.e. Harlequin #123 should be placed on the edition field
- Series are common characters and locations NOT themes i.e. Mistress to a Millionaire is a theme and should not be created as a series. If you’re unsure just ask for opinion!
- If a book shares more than one series, you can either not add the series onto the title field and just place the series name in the series field OR you can do this (Series 1 ; Series 2)
- DO NOT combine Harlequin comics book adaptation with their novels
- ISBN/ISBN13s converter when you only have one of them
