Hello everyone,

After years of polishing my story, I am looking for honest feedback for my 85,000 word memoir SEASON OF DREAMERS, which may appeal to readers with interest in foreign cultures who enjoy emotionally charged, yet not overly sentimental stories written in a humorous tone, those undergoing deep changes, dealing with loneliness of any kind or simply having a hard time making sense of this world. It is a story about leaving the road most travelled to walk the path of your own making and breaking free from the inherited dysfunctions and learned patterns that don’t help us prosper and thrive.

Season of Dreamers is a tale about looking for rain in a place, deserted for draught, and it holds our culture up to the magnifying glass by observing how instrumental the surroundings are to our behaviour and how people respond to decay. It captures the emotional ruin of the former Yugoslavia and explores the lies we are told - by others and ourselves - the truth we conceal, and at what cost. It’s a story about the deeply flawed yet equally beautiful human nature that unfolds over ten years, structured in five seasons, and it highlights the importance of fighting for your dreams in a place, where every night millions of people go to sleep, but only a handful of them still dream.

The final manuscript will be available for reading by the end of next week (mid September). I am hoping to connect with beta readers (and editors) with experience and interest in any or several of the following topics: psychology, spirituality, human behaviour and mind, solitude, nature and Balkans (Serbia in particular).
