Flagged it for GR, but we need a mod to delete it

FYI - The start of week two was late 10/13 for those on this side of the world and the formulas are set to read the finish dates as 10/14, so those of us who finished books on what was 10/13 for us but late enough to qualify for week 2, we were told to enter the date as 10/14 on the spreadsheet. This is what I did for Maddy and me, I think the only 2 who finished books later last night :-)

I don't think it is quite 50%. To me it reads more white.

It's definitely borderline, so I will say not. It works for YA, so I post for that.

I have two days off starting tomorrow so I will for sure finish my book by then!

Ugh, why do I keep getting covers that aren't one color or another??? This one says blue to me when I glance at it but when I really look at it, it could be brown. Or just nothing :-(

I'd go more with brown, but that shadow is tricky so I don't think it has enough color.

We can see someone on your team read it on 7 Oct but can't see the details because the spreadsheet has locked the Week 1 books out of sight.

Definitely beige. Is beige brown? Or more on the white side?

Beige is a shade of brown.

Huh. I always thought it is more like a variation of white, like pearl white and other weirdly named colors :D

Oh yeah I didn't put in a color because to me it looked white and beige but I didn't think it was enough of anything to count. Sorry if that was incorrect.

Hi all!

Just wanted to give you a heads up that the next 48 hours are going to be super hectic for me so I probably will not be around much. I'm in a wedding tomorrow, so I'll be busy all day tomorrow and pretty busy this evening with getting everything I need together, the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner, and then all the bridal party is staying together tonight.

I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to finish another book or not. I'm going to try to finish at least one more short one so I can hit my weekly goal amount, but it probably won't be until a few hours before the week ends. I'll let you know several hours before then if I'll have one or not.

brown covers?

For some reason, GR is doubling my read dates (adding empty one to one I've add). So if you notice dates missing, let me know.

I agree with Tea - no to both on brown. Too much whitish/cream on the first and too much grayish sky on the second.

If you have any books that you are currently reading that will be finished in time please ensure they are posted an hour before deadline to give LaurLa and myself a chance to get them logged.

A reminder with regards to Sins. When allocating a book to a sin we look to go in terms of highest points first:

1️⃣ Cover - Pink; Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, Purple, Brown - worth 5 points

2️⃣ Genre (From 1st page of Shelves) - Historical Romance, Dystopia, Young Adult; Guilty Pleasure; Dark Fantasy; Contemporary; Space Opera - 3 points

3️⃣ Sin Specification - Check first page of thread.

Animals can be found in the title, on the cover or in the text, please indicate sentence when posting.

Question - are making some king of a plan? Or everyone is reading something and you will organize as you see fit?

To maximise points we need to prioritise in order of

Tricky Animals - 7 points each
Easy Animals - 5 points each
Cover colours - 5 points.

Post here what you think you can read for next week and we’ll mark it on the spreadsheet 🙂

Sorry!!! I finished my book but haven’t had the chance to post it. I will do it right now!!

I will for sure be reading in the upcoming week. Will see what else I have with animals on the cover/title. There are always random animals popping up in the text.

I’ve found a tapir (t) in and a cozy mystery series which has lots of animals. Downloaded the boxed set in KU and delve in. Also has dogs 😊

there is The Real Macaw book by Donna Andrews. I think I've read it this year so I'm not sure if I can reread it yet. need to check when I get to the comp (this app is killing me).

ok after quick search I can cover few tricky animals: honeybee, killer whale, anteater and macaw.

@Charlie can you check which edition you have shelved, it does not correspond to what is posted.
