Here is what I read for the November challenges, though a friend claims I was 'stretching' it a bit for some of these. Three of these are actually within the mystery genre, though definitely not cozy. ;-)

1. November is National Novel Writing Month and November 2 is Book Lovers Day Reader’s choice

The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maugham

2. November 6 is Marooned without a Compass Day Read a book in which someone gets lost or loses something.

Biting the Moon by Martha Grimes (Main character has lost her memory)

3. ...Read a book that features food.

Dakota by Martha Grimes (This is the one my friend said I was stretching a bit, but admitted it does fit the challenge -- it's about an agribusiness and slaughterhouse)

4. November 22 is Go For a Ride Day Read a book in which someone goes for a ride via car, bus, train, bike or boat.

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster

5. November 26 is Shopping Reminder Day and November 28 Black Friday Read a book in which someone goes shopping or buys something.

Think Twice by Lisa Scottoline

The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maugham Biting the Moon (Andi Oliver, #1) by Martha Grimes Dakota (Andi Oliver, #2) by Martha Grimes The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster Think Twice by Lisa Scottoline

Thanks, Marisa. It was technically about food, but as you said -- just not in the usual factor, and why I had to set aside Delicious and Suspicious before finishing even one chapter. Definitely wasn't a good choice to follow a book about a hog farm. :-P
