ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý~ Where to Next? ~
DURATION:   You set the timeline.

RULES PART 1:   Just pick one or more of your favorites, or do the whole alphabet from A-Z. Or just select words from each letter of your name, or the group’s initials.
Options:

Finish Where You Started - AmandA Words & Palindromes
Use words that begin and end with the same letter. See Post #2 {NEED LINK} below for ideas. We’ll take proper nouns, as we couldn’t find anything starting and ending with Q and J otherwise.

A palindrome is a word, phrase, number, or other sequence of symbols or elements, whose meaning may be interpreted the same way in either forward or reverse direction. Great on-line references are , and , and .

Go On - BoraciC Words
Boracic words are words that begin with one letter and end with the letter that follows next in the alphabet. “Alb is a boracic word, because B follows A. “Cold and “melon are others, as D follows C and N follows M.

Go Back - BananA Words
Words that begin with a letter and end with the letter before it, alphabetically. Banana is one such word, as it begins with B, ends with A.

You may reference to help with these last two types, just change the “starts with or “ends with letter.
RULES PART 2:   Above are the options you may use. You may switch around which type of word you use for your Spell-It-Out words. For example, you may spell a BananA word (back), then for your next choose a BoraciC word (forward), then next an AmandA word (stay where your are). An example of this would be to first spell pluto (back), then quizzer (forward), then roar (stay where you are).

Pick a word. Then read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last name), character (first or last name), that begin with letters that correspond to letter of the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.).
Example of Spell-It-Out: (AmandA Word)

H. - Howard, Linda; author of Mr. Perfect
A. - Alpine for You, by Maddy Hunter
T. - Tradd Street #1 - The House on Tradd Street, by Karen White
C. - The Cinderella Pact, by Sarah Strohmeyer
H. - Hassie Petty; heroine in Without Words, by Ellen O'Connell
Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard Alpine for You (Passport to Peril, #1) by Maddy Hunter The House on Tradd Street (Tradd Street, #1) by Karen White The Cinderella Pact by Sarah Strohmeyer Without Words by Ellen O'Connell
If you need to know, here is info on how to Add a Book or Bookcover Link.
This challenge is also posted in Series Readers Anonymous.

Elaine Can anyone help me out with historical romance authors with last or first names - X and U.
It's a big ask...then I will be finished with a-z authors...lol
Thanks :o)

message 36: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Well, there is Linda Urbach who writes HR. I can't think of a one for "X," Elaine. Does it have to be an author only, not series name or character? If so, how about a HR author with an "X" in their name?

message 37: by Elaine (new)

Elaine Thanks Lisa for the info.
I think I'll choose 2 authors each with a U or X in their name.
Does the series name have to start with U or X, or just have these letters in it.

message 38: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Is this for this challenge, in this group, or another challenge, in another group? Some groups are quite strict.

For this challenge (and most challenges in the HEAC group) "U" may be in the series name, if it is the first letter of the word. For example, FBI/US Attorney series. However, "X" may be anywhere within the series name, such as in Texas Destiny .

Do that make sense?
