My thinking exactly. I wasn't going to read anymore of this series but okay, what's one more...

I suspect this prompt will be one of the last ones I complete as I'm struggling to find one to fit. I'm trying to complete the challenge with library ebooks, already owned books or kindle deals so will be hoping that something turns up to fit during the year.

I think I'll probably end up buying as it would probably help my running!

Four and Twenty Blackbirds by Cherie Priest

This was the first book I read by Cherie Priest. It's weird and well-written and different and sort of horror but not too scary.

And apparently there is also Four and Twenty Blackbirds by Agatha Christie

Bless your post! I was starting to dread this prompt because nothing sounded very appealing to me. I had two books as contenders, but I wasn't excited about them. A Poirot story is a much better option for me.

I sometimes recommend this one as a starter for adults who have never read manga!

Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler was good. I just finished it.

For once, a prompt is sticking me in the eye to get exact with it. Hah! On the other hand, I'm really holding myself this year to clearing my stacks and stacks of unread-owned books and not bringing home more than 3 additional books to meet PopSugar prompts. This prompt is one of only 5 prompts I can't fill from those stacks. I already bought books for two prompts, and will pick up a 2020 publish later - so - I turned to free audiobooks on LibriVox for this one.

I can't decide between Twenty Years After, by Alexandre Dumas (and sequel to The Three Musketeers), or Twenty Years at Hull House, Jane Addams' memoir - so I guess I'll just do both this year! :D

On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century by Timothy Snyder. I've been meaning to read this since I first heard Professor Snyder interviewed (I think) by Bill Maher. The author is a history professor at Yale, and this book gives a lot to think about. It's chilling, and you will likely find yourself nodding over and over. Good advice in his book, too. Highly recommend!

I read My Twenty-Five Years in Provence: Reflections on Then and Now, but it wasn't as good as a Year in Provence and it had a lot of the same stories. So, basically I don't recommend. I thought it might be funny, as I remember laughing when reading a Year in Provence and who couldn't use a laugh right now? But, it wasn't.

For this challenge I read Two and Twenty Dark Tales: Dark Retellings of Mother Goose Rhymes.

I finished All Those Mornings...at the Post: The 20th Century in Sports from Famed Washington Post Columnist Shirley Povich by Shirley Povich. The great news is I finished the advanced prompts.

Just found a series of books by Daniel Hurst which all have '20 minutes' in the title. They are all on Kindle Unlimited or reasonably priced which is part of my secondary challenge! Not read any yet but they seem to get good reviews so I'll definitely use one for this prompt.

This prompt has turned out to be more dreaded than I expected, but after looking through the list posted at the beginning here again, I noticed Surpassing Certainty: What My Twenties Taught Me and now I'm excited! I'm trying to read even more books by Black authors than usual right now, and she's trans, so that fits with PRIDE reading as well. Score!

Just thought I would update on my previous post. I actually missed off the first book in the series20 Minutes On The Tube: Who Are You Travelling With? I have just finished it and would recommend if you are struggling with this prompt. This is the penultimate book for me in this challenge and I had left it as the prompt was a tricky one, but this book is would make it into the top half of this years challenge books if I was ranking them.

It explores 20 people's story within a 20 minute period on the London Underground. You get to hear their back story, why they were there and what was happening to them. Many of the stories over lap and you get to see incidents from different perspectives. People watching in a book!

It is a quick read and if you read it on kindle, you get the prequel 20 Minutes Earlierfree to download, at the end. I'll definitely read it after I've finished the challenge and the next book 20 Minutes Later as I am still thinking about some of the characters.

Ugh, I'm getting close to the end of the challenge, and I'm really dreading this prompt. I'm not excited about any of the options and there really isn't a way to interpret this into something I would like. Guess, I'll just need to bite the bullet with the shortest book I can find.

I felt like this about the prompt but 20 Minutes On The Tube: Who Are You Travelling With? is short and much better than I was expecting. Also cheap if reading on kindle.

There's also The New Odyssey by Patrick Kingsley. They've change the title with new editions, but the original title was: The New Odyssey: The Story of the Twenty-First Century Refugee Crisis

Thanks for the idea, Diana! I read two history books and two memoirs about refugees and the Middle East already this year, so this book seems like the natural next step. I checked, and my library has the version that had the 20 in the title.

If you're looking for a short read, The Twenty Days of Turin is ~140 pages (not counting the appendices, which are just a random unrelated short story + essay by the same author). It's a horror/weird fiction novella set in Italy, dealing with mysterious occurrences that were apparently precipitated by pre-internet social media.

I read "Twenty Wishes" by Debbie Macomber.

Twenty-One Truths About Love was better than I expected it to be, and had quite the twist ending.

I read the first book in the series 20 Minutes On The Tube: Who Are You Travelling With?, and it was one of the best books I read through the entire challenge . It was the book I read to finish the challenge. (saved the best 'til last, as they say)
