ONE PIECE uses many onomatopoeia, especially you can see at the fighting scenes. Each character has a different looks. This difference make a impact for readers. For example, main character Luffy is wearing a plain costume, like a straw hat, half pants and red short-sleeve shirt. It is memorable for readers. Some ends of chapters have a story board. From there you can see how the author draw a manga. ONE PIECE is linear, bold and iconic manga because a line look strong and simple. Also, do not use many shade. That is why characters are not realistic.

Natsume is a boy who can see Ayakashi. Reiko who Natsume¡¯s grandma can see it too.The book of friends that Reiko corrected name of Ayakashi has big power. So Ayakashi seek the book of friends, and Natsume protect it with Nyanko-sensei who bodyguard. Nyanko-sensei is a impact and memorable character. Natsume return name to Ayakashi who want to return the name. The scene that Natsume return name to Ayakashi is always internal, because I think that it¡¯s fantastic moment, so the author intend to focus on foreground and change the atmosphere.There is not too External, because the author express feelings and an atmosphere by the screentone, there doses not to be a background. After the return the name scene, Natsume has a Reiko¡¯s memory flashback. The line is very soft and rounded, no bold, but there is rather angular, for example, Natsume¡¯s hair and Nyanko-sensei¡¯s eyes are angular. Almost character¡¯s costume is plain, but some characters are complex. This manga is a little scary, but it has impression. I recommend you.

I read 3 stories of City Hunter. It was big impact for me. Character design is realistic. Especially, I really like smile face of characters. I felt them like real humans. In addition, these are crime action and hard boiled story. So there are a lot of action scenes and serious scenes. In these scenes, there are a lot of onomatopoeias so I felt more realistic their battle scene. And it often zoom in main character¡¯s face. Then a shade is very clearly and it looks cooler than other panels. The main character is a man, Ryo Saeba and his costume is plain. He usually wears dark color pants, red t-shirt and right blue jacket. This is so memorable. However, women¡¯s costume is complex and fashionable. They wear sexy elegant outfit and it is my type. Splash page is always beautiful and sensitive. It looks more realistic by texture. It is amazing.

I never read it but I know characters because their outfits are memorable. Especially, Luffy¡¯ s outfit is nice. Plus, they are iconic! So cute!

I read vol.1 of ¡°One punch man¡±, it¡¯s Shounen manga. I have watched this anime a little, but I haven¡¯t read this manga. I think sometime there are scenes which are not appear in anime, so I was able to enjoy reading. Saitama of the protagonist in this manga is impact. His form and face are very rounded, but it¡¯s almost used angular. The difference is very interesting and this manga is memorable. In this manga many heroes appear and they always wear their costumes, so it¡¯s so plain. However there are exceptions. Saitama wears very funny shirts and they change frequently. This manga begins with a scene which he fights a monster, but chapter 2 begins with a flashback of him. By knowing his history at first, we can understand how amazing he is. And the genre is action manga, so there are many onomatopoeias. Moreover in the battle scene zooming in is used and especially it¡¯s used in order to express internal feelings. There are more internal backgrounds than external backgrounds. In my opinion this manga isn¡¯t just a action story and there are many ingenuities to attract readers.

I agreed with you, I think Nyanko-sensei is so impact and memorable. And this manga is very emotional,so it¡¯s used internal expressions many times.

xxxHolic, Vol. 3
I read xxxHOLiC vol.3. These character¡¯s art is iconic, bold and angular. And one of the main characters, Yuko-san¡¯s costumes are so complex, she changes her costume every episode or sometime she changes 1 or 2 times in the same episode. The planes are almost linear panel, and not so layering. There are internal panels 50% and external panels 50% in all panels, and has onomatopoeia and screen tones not so much because I think that the author want to show mysterious mood and scares of stories with silence and simple toners.

Usokui 1
This manga has 2 main characters. 1st man is Kaji. He is a man gambling addiction so he has no money and borrows some money from an illegal loan. However, he gets gambling addiction so he don¡¯t work to earn money and he goes gambling at an pachinko parlor. In that Pachinko parlor, he meets with Baku Madarame he is the lie eater. He is also person gambling addiction. But the gambling addiction is too dangerous and too crazy to understand for people in common. Baku is 2nd main character. He is good at talking and battling in psychological battles. He can understand someone lies from talking. This manga is drawn in iconic style so we can understand that is not realistic quickly. Even if this manga is iconic style which makes us want to read this manga because of danger to gambling to take a risk for money that we will dream to get much money.
This manga is Seinen manga so it is drawn in angular, but this manga has soft type of drawing so we can't know the lines sometimes. In this manga, main characters will change clothes less times so we can say this manga's characters are plain. We can see onomatopoeia in this manga and to count onomatopoeia is easy. Sometimes, we can't read this manga easily because of non linear and variable panels. This manga's script points at internal to show some psychological battles.

I read the HUNTER HUNTER volume1 before. Scene is very iconic and imainally world.
Besides, we can understand the situation easiy. Because Plain, Rounded and Bold are used in this volume. So, The foregrand is clear. The main character, Gon, Leorio and Krapica wear same costume. We can recognize the object and main character what author meant because the line of description is thick.
Moreover, this manga is usually linear. That¡¯s because something happened always. So, reader can understand very easily. As a matter of corse, sometimes Flashback is happen.
All I want to tell you is this manga is very simple. In addition to sentence above, character is very memorable and have impact because they are very characteristic. I think it¡¯s one of witching, and the plain is also based on it. Script and Onomatopoeia are very simple, too. In the story, each main caracter have own ambitions same as protagonist, Gon. He wants to see his father. This is very understandable. In onomatopoeia, impactful and comical expression is used, such as whoa and thump.
Finally, there are many expressions to create the works. This is very interesting!

I like Attack on Titan and I cannot forget the feeling that I read it for the first time. That¡¯s because Titan is very impactful.

I found one of the best manga through this year, so I just want to introduce and review it. The title is ''ZigokurakuµØªz˜S'' from Syounen Jump. It started to serialize from January 22, 2018, and now latest 8 volume is issued. Most of characters have impact characteristics like Gabimaru»­ÃÀÍè is an antagonist and has incredible physical skills and someone looks like Samurai. That's why the characters is so memorable for readers even if are kids. Because of Syounen, angular and bold lines is used a lot and also character design is more of iconic not realistic comparing with Seinen manga but screentone is used a lot to make shade more realistic, I think. Also, flashback is used very frequently to explain some character's background more detailed for the readers. The story starts from that some characters who are criminal including Gabimaru are forced to go an island where there is many evil monsters kill human beings really cruelly. After that the characters have to fight the monsters to survive. Reading this book, I got an feeling that it is really alike to the story of''Terra Formars'', so I really recommend someone like Terra Formars. If you get interested in Zigokuraku, you can read it on app Syounen jump plus .

I¡¯m reading NARUTO so far. This manga has a lot of onomatopoeia as to show us easily what happen in action scene. I think Naruto is bold and rounded. They have unique character design and memorable. Naruto has a lot of internals, because sometimes Naruto talks to Kyuubi that he tames inside himself.Their costumes are very plain and do not change until they will grow up. Ease of drawing is too hard to me, but easier than other Manga, because they have much impact and they are iconic.

Fantasista Vol. 1
I have read FANTASISTA vol.1 which is a football manga.
This manga¡¯s art and technique are interesting. Totally, the character design is angular and bold, and also the scene of football match is realistic, variable and uses a lot of shade to express dynamism, but sometimes the author writes rounded in gag scene. This makes good gaps between serious scene and gag scene. Also, character¡¯s internal depictive representation is great. For example, in vol.1 , there is the scene which one of the sub character is close up by pressure of decision, and the author uses toner in background to write the emotion of dithering. Finally, The most thing I surprised is that this manga has not so many onomatopoeia for a change. The author uses a lot of speed lines instead of onomatopoeia.
This genre is Shounen, and the story is the classic sports manga. I have read a lot of football manga before, but I thought this is different from other football manga like Captain Tsubasa. Usual football manga focuses on only one player of main character, but in FANTASISTA, it focuses on the player and the coach who are little brother and older sister. This is very unique and interesting ideas.

¡°Akagami no Shirayukihime¡± is a manga about a young girl called Shirayuki, happened to meet with Zen, a second prince of Clalines, her neighborhood country. She naturally born with a red hair like an apple. Because of her rare hair, she was chosen to be a concubine for the price of Tanbarun, her home town. Therefore, she decided to left her country. While traveling, she met Zen and his close aides.

This manga is a typical Shoujo manga. It used very soft lines and the costumes are very complex. The characters also changes their clothes several times. The background is very realistic. The manga artist drew every single small windows of the castle. It is so amazing!!! The contours of character¡¯s face is rounded, so you can feel a soft atmosphere. There are two types of layering panel that is used in this manga. First, is to show that the panels are constant. For example, the author draw panels that is from different perspectives. Secondly, is to show character¡¯s mind. Usually the author use the bubble that show that characters is thinking, but in this case, sometimes just put in a box panel or write without babble. However, it is written sometimes words that the characters are speaking with themselves. Therefore, the number of internal panels naturally increased. Also, because of these layering panels, there are some non linear panels, but most of all panels are linear. I like this manga character design because it is very good-looking. Specially when it is colored. I want to learn how she can create these kinds of characters

It was interesting to know that in ¡°Natsume yujincho¡±, when Natsume return the names to Ayakashi is always an internal scene. I know a little bit about this story, but I never had read the manga, so I became interested in it. I also was surprised to know that there wasn¡¯t an external panel.

I have read Slam Dunk volume 1. This manga is the manga of basketball. So there are many cool scenes. Especially the scene that Hanamichi dose a slam dunk is so cool. Colorful toners are used for this scene and there is not any speech balloon or onomatopoeia.
And I like funny scenes, too. The character design of this manga is pretty good. Like Hanamichi, there are many memorable characters and they have impact because of their characteristics. In addition, this manga is iconic, angular and bold. The style of this manga matches the character design. And furthermore, the author uses linear sequences and panel layering. So I could read smoothly.

I read volume1 of SLAM DUNK. It is shounen manga. I think this manga is realistic. Character design is simple and plain, only uniform of basketball and school uniform. But these character has impact and complex because they have originality. There are many onomatopoeia in this manga. For example, when Hanamachi dribbling, onomatopoeia is ¡°paa¡±. In Japanese, ¡°damu¡±. And this manga¡¯s panel has many Zoom In. It often appears on pages that express internal of Hanamichi, the main character. When express external, often used Worm¡¯s eye view and Bird¡¯s eye view. And also it has many panel and page of layering.

I read this review and I became wanted to read this manga. I recognized summary and main character.

I read SPY¡ÁFAMILY volume 1. This is a shounen manga and the story is about a fake family living together for their each benefits. The father is a spy, the mother is a hitman and the daughter is an esper girl. This setting of the characters has a strong impact and it is very memorable. In addition, judging from their some flashbacks, they all have a dark past. And the author uses dark toner to tell readers the scene is a flashback. Basically they wear same simple costumes such as school uniform or suit, so their clothes are plain. However, sometimes they change their clothes in some cases, so they are kind of complex. The drawing of this manga is rounded and bold. And it is not realistic at all, so it seems like a Shoujo manga more than Shounen manga. Still, it is a shounen manga and includes fighting scene, so there are many onomatopoeia used. And the author draws the panel that zooms in to the character¡¯s eyes a lot to show their deep emotion. The interesting characters attract many readers and it is very interesting.

I¡¯ve been very interested in SLAM DUNK, I haven¡¯t tried it yet though. And from your review, I¡¯m very curious about onomatopoeia in SLAM DUNK. So if I have chance to read it I will read carefully for onomatopoeia.

I read ¡°Kimetsu no yaiba¡± that is published in Shonen Jamp. The script is a battle action story that the protagonist, Tanjiro fights demons to cure his sister who changed into a demon.
The artwork is bold and angular basically, but the characters are drawn Iconic and funny sometimes. I like Character Design of this manga. The setting is Taisyo era, so many of characters wear Kimono. The shapes are plain but the patterns are complex a little. There are various patterns of the clothes, my favorite one is Shinobu¡¯s cloth, because I like butterflies. The character design of Inosuke has an impact. He wears a headgear of a wild boar. He is very memorable.
When Tanjiro defeated demons, there was the flashback scene. Demons reminded memories of human. It¡¯s sad and heartrending. Kimetsu is not only external. I thought almost battle action manga is external, but this manga includes internal scenes. Some villains characters became my favorite since I knew the character¡¯s internal parts.

I have heard the title, but I have never read it. I imagine that it¡¯s romantic and lovely story from the title. I will check it.

I read ¡°Haikyuu¡± because I like this genre and am interested in sports.
In this manga, a lot of screen tone/toner is used to give background effects. Moreover, onomatopoeia is also used. Using onomatopoeia, the readers feel the reality of characters moving or sense of speed. And then, they are realistic. The picture in Haikyuu is rounded. The costumes is so plain. Haikyuu is linear so it is easy for the readers to read. Sometimes, a character like Kageyama have flashback when the team face to a hard game. A character design is very simple. However, each character has an impact on the readers. To have an impact on the readers for each character, the readers feel it is memorable. I guess the story board of this is so clear for the readers.
