I finished my first series - The alphabet murders by Sue Grafton

I just finished the last three. Y is for Yesterday is the final book. She only had the title for Z, but never got to write it. The story isn't as tightly written as the others in the series, but I guess a lot of that is because of her personal struggles at the time. Anyway, I cried the closer I got to the end.

The last three books were on my bookshelf for a long time. My husband bought me the first book (paperback) in the series, when my son was teething. At that time, we barely had a pot to pi$$ in as the saying goes, so that was an unexpected treasure. He said as long as I was up all night rocking the baby, I needed something to keep my mind off his crying, and my frustration that I can't help him. He bought me the next books when they were released, some paperback, some hardbacks.

After he passed away, I couldn't bring myself to read the new books, I just bought them to add to the collection. I'm glad I finished now. It was another part of grieving I guess.

Sharon you're not the only one. I have a few trilogies that would round it out. But that just feels wrong.

Didn't do too bad. These days is difficult to know when a series has ended. Even the authors don't always know 😁 The voices of the characters sometimes demand a follow up or check in.
