Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments Looks great so far! I have several Stephen King books on my plans this year, I love him. I haven't read The Institute yet, so I can't say anything about that one, but I hope you enjoy him. His books are long but they are fast paced and I think he does character development really well, not to mention plot. I have quite a few favorites by him, particularly his early work ( It, The Stand, Pet Cemetary, The Shining!!, Salems Lot etc... so many. )He got a little weird for a while after his accident but I've been enjoying his newer work as well. His short story collections are great too. Love him! My daughter was just looking at my book shelves the other day and said " theres a lot of King books here mommy".

PS- if you enjoy his writing check out his son Joe Hill

Enjoy your challenge and good luck!

Yeah, I've read and enjoyed Rose Madder, The Shining, Carrie, and some of his short stories. I'll be reading Cujo for the 2nd prompt. Hope you'll enjoy the Institute. Haven't read it yet.

I've read a bit of Pet Sematary before but I didn't get very far sadly, which had everything to do with my very short attention span and nothing to do with King's writing. Definitely looking forward to attempting to read The Institute, as it sounds very interesting.

I've also been meaning to read 11/22/63 for many years, but I find the length of the book to be very intimidating. It might go on my 2020 Plan, depending on how The Institute goes...
