The nominations thread for the February Classics Read is now open, please suggest your book choices below.

Please note there will be no pre and post-1900 rule from now on. Any classic book will count.

All books need to be seconded by someone else in order to get to the voting stage.

Travels with My Aunt automatically goes forward (again) to the poll as it was runner-up last time, and does not need to be nominated or seconded.

This thread will remain open until 13th January and then will be closed for voting.

Nominated:
Orlando
World of Strangers
The Good Soldier Å vejk

Nominated and Seconded:
Travels with My Aunt
Cold Comfort Farm
East of Eden
Far From the Madding Crowd

We have, Pat

Debbie (debbiegregory) | 585 comments Travels with my Aunt sounds hilarious. I am going to choose between Rebecca or Cold Comfort Farm as part of my Dusty Bookshelf challenge (longest on shelf).
Have either of those been read already?

Yay, thank you Jason. It's been on my TBR for years, never got around to reading it. It is supposedly very funny.

Love this book and used to watch and during my childhood I used to watch my parents laugh their heads off watching an old German film about depicting this story from I think the 50s or 60s.
