When I do that, I do the goodreads review with "review to follow closer to publication" plus my star rating. Then when you post the full review on NetGalley, you can give the goodreads link already and when publication arrives, you can post it and it'll be there on NG as well. I used to mark the date in my diary so I wouldn't forget to post it on GR.

Make sure you do your review on Word or similar so it'll be saved for your later use :)

I find usually the Aussie publishers always grant me their books, they must look and see I'm Australian, I guess. I'm fine with that of course! Overall we still have superior writers.

M.N. Cox (mncox) | 82 comments Lee, did you read The Best Kind of Beautiful by Frances Whiting through NG? I enjoyed that, and I would imagine you’re correct about wanting some Aussies for the AUS books. Makes sense.

I've got it there to read. Was thinking of either it or Lovestruck next. I always loved Frances's newspaper columns.

M.N. Cox (mncox) | 82 comments I will have to look up Lovestruck. I put my name down for the Whiting book because my Mum was always enjoying her columns. I think she did well with that novel. I hope you enjoy it, too 🙂

I absolutely loved The Best Kind of Beautiful. From memory it was one of my favourites from last year

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 2260 comments I got an email today from Macmillan about an upcoming release, The Yellow Bird Sings by Jennifer Rosner. It's available to request on netgalley here:

It's not my kind of thing at all because it's a war story but I suspect there's a few here that might be interested. :)

Her last couple of books from Bookouture only went on NG a few weeks before publication. I think this one is out mid May so it may be late March or even April before it's on NG. We'll just have to keep checking!

The last one on NG I missed as it didn't have a cover :( Now I've learned my lesson to look at books without covers as well!

I'm still looking for Lisa Regan's latest which is #8 - hopefully soon :) Find Her Alive

I downloaded one this week that has a different title to the one on Netgalley (and isn't in GR). Very tricky when you're looking for it on the kindle!

I did remember your tip of trying the ISBN but it didn't come up. I'm wondering if it's an older title on the ARC that they forgot to update to the NG title (definitely better!). Will wait and see what's happening closer to publication!

Thanks Brenda. The book is The Sin Eater by Megan Campisi The Sin Eater by Megan Campisi from Pan Macmillan Au, ISBN 9781529019100.

The title of the file that downloaded is 'Amy and Olivia' but the details inside say it's The Sin Eater with the same ISBN so I think I have been sent the correct file.

Perhaps it was just a working or early title and wasn't updated as it's not on ŷ. Not a problem really as I now know to look for 'Amy and Olivia' when I want to read it.

Recently though, I had the audiobook via the library and just couldn’t get into it....my first unread Marian Keyes 🙁 and not even sure I can be bothered to try reading it. Maybe it’s that huge page number that puts me off now days!
