I read a story from her once: The War of Light and Shadow, in Five Dishes, which I quite liked.

I've read this last month. It was a fun idea and I guess it especially sits well with you if (view spoiler)[ you do love cats. They are nicely portrayed here. (hide spoiler)]

I absolutely loved this one. Fun, hilarious, well written. And yes, that POV and everything about it is wonderful.

LOL yeah the kitten & its name were awesome

The cover is great. But what color is "spilled whale oil before a match is struck?" I'm not a huge fan of random metaphorical descriptions, esp. in short stories.

But that's just a small nit, the only one I see to pick. Mostly the story is enchanting. Thank you for posting.

Well, well, I normally never look at Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ recommendation part of my screen, but it is now showing this The Cat Who Walked a Thousand Miles, a short story by Kij Johnson. Usually GR recs are very random, but this time it might hit the spot.

I enjoyed that one a lot!
