I like your list. We have three authors in common, but no matching books. Of the two you have on your list I've read I can't speak highly enough about Of Human Bondage, Maugham is at his best. As for The Killer Angels, its so well written I felt I was actually there watching rather than reading, excellent story. I am intrigued by South Riding and Stoner, I will have to keep an eye out for them. Enjoy your challenge.

Alissa Patrick (apatrick12211) I'm reading Of Human Bondage this year too- I'm really looking forward to it

Germinal is a book that's been on my TBR list for a while. And also I Capture the Castle. Gotta move them up.

message 5: by Sandy (new)

Sandy | 41 comments I too have Of Human Bondage on my 2015 list. Read The Painted Veil last year and really enjoyed so have decided to read more Maugham.

Read I Capture the Castle last year as part of my 2014 challenge, was a bit disappointed in it. Really enjoyed Woman in White.

Have been wanting to read Cold Comfort Farm, Stone and Killer Angels so will be interested to hear what you think.

Nice list.

Haley Winters | 18 comments I read The Outsiders in high school and loved it. A very good read for sure. I also have read The Woman in White with this group and found it very fun to read. Hopefully you enjoy them as well.

message 7: by Laurie (new)

Laurie | 1881 comments The only book on your list I have read is The Killer Angels which was awesome. I'm not a big civil war buff, but it was so interesting and I sped through it.

Duane Parker (tduaneparkeryahoocom) Well, it's the end of February and I haven't read even one book on my challenge list. Hope to get Cloud Atlas and I Capture the Castle finished in March.

message 9: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I've only read one of mine so I'm in the same boat.

message 10: by Tytti (new)

Tytti | 1010 comments I'm reading my second, I have been in a reading slump. But that's why I picked short books!

message 11: by April (new)

April Munday | 276 comments I'm not even half way through my second. I think I might have to read one of my short ones just to make myself feel better about it.

Kent (kentmd) | 39 comments This is a great list - I'm going to have to add some of these to my list.

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1685 comments I've read about 4 titles from my classics list.

I've made more progress with my bingo list where I've read 11.

message 15: by Duane (new)

Duane Parker (tduaneparkeryahoocom) I've only finished 2 so far, but they've both been 5 star books for me, so no complaints.

Which two?"

Stoner

message 19: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I'm reading Of Human Bondage right now. So far it's good but the main character is so realistic that he makes me cringe. But he's still a teenager, so that may explain it :)

This is the first time I've looked at your list and you have really interesting books on here.

Thanks Sarah. I'm behind schedule on this challenge. Got to pick up the pace. I'm to easily distracted by new books.

message 21: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I'm behind on mine too. I was surprised at how easily I get distracted by other stuff that comes up. So I get that :)

Duane Parker (tduaneparkeryahoocom) Currently reading Indiana, My Cousin Rachel, and The Outsiders, but will still have six left. I may be reading on New Years Eve.

Duane Parker (tduaneparkeryahoocom) Well....I may finish two more, but it's obvious I'm not going to finish my challenge this year. But I'll keep at it until I'm finished, whenever that may be.
