Nicole Adrienne (nicoleintrovert) Glad you are following Sharp Objects and Room with Me Talk Pretty One Day. You'll need the humour after those two!! (I loved all three)

Anja (thesofa) | 86 comments Love The Outsiders! I read it at school and it's one of the books I've re-read several times

Steph I recently finished reading How to Be an American Housewife by Margaret Dilloway. I absolutely fell in love. The book really hit close to home for me. I'm half Japanese and my mom died while I was young before she had a chance to tell me all the details of her own story of coming to America. My Grandmother doesn't speak English very well but the stories she told me were almost exactly the same as in this book (including family names!). Despite this being a fiction novel I felt like I learned a lot about my own family history. I suspect many Japanese families who came over after WWII have similar stories. I HIGHLY recommend this book to EVERYBODY!
