Thanks Jane. The idea was not to make it a political statement, even though it was inspired by what is happening to our food. The story is really an adventure of three brave kids that take on a tyrannical government in a dystopia future. There are undertones of control by manipulating the food supply, and that's the threat that drives the story.

I really appreciated the spunk and bravery of the kids!
I loved Altered. It was a totally engaging narrative but it also really made me think about the practices in our food industry. Really scary.
