Greta | 9 comments Sophie, a small orphan, sees a tremendous monster outside her bedroom window. After being snatched up, believing she was going to be eaten, she finds herself in a cave with the BFG a, the Big Friendly Giant. Inside, there are rows and rows of jars containing dreams. The big friendly giant collects them to blow into children's windows. Sophie and The BFG bond, and when Sophie finds out the other Giants, twice BFG's size, are gobbling up children, she forms a plan with her new best friend to stop them while having a great time. But if the monsters found out about Sophie, they'd eat her.
This book is about friendship, and not judging by a first look. It's by amazing author Rolad Dahl, who I admire his unique writing style that tells a story like you're there. I would read this and recommend this to people who like adventure and friendship stories that are silly and magical, like a fairy tale. It's like Rolad Dahl blew a dream into your window when you're reading it!
