Carlos (relampague) | 19 comments Continuing the saga of the Foundation, this is the last novel of the original cycle of the Foundation, or Cycle of Trantor, so named for being the world capital of the former First Galactic Empire. In Second Foundation, the story is resumed from the previous point: the Mule desperately seeking the location of the Second Foundation, which is responsible for directing the Sheldon Plan and preventing the improbabilities, like the Mule, a reality that can destroy the creation of second Galactic Empire. And here I can read without spoilers.

As happened with the previous, this novel is divided into two stories, whose pace and characters are different and whose plot is separated by the span of decades. While in the first frame few characters appear and the plot moves a little slower, I liked considerably more than the second, which seems to be a social hysteria about the Second Foundation, the author conveys to the reader but, in my opinion, it seems that the characters stand out from what would be their "normal modus operandi" to reach a conclusion a little deus ex machina. Undoubtedly, the first part, maintained throughout the story, the mystery of the location of the Second Foundation, is for me the best.
