Glen Stansfield (fenderjedi) | 15 comments Hi to everyone.
I have been a member of goodreads for while but have not spent a lot of time on here. I hope to spend a little more time in the future..
I enjoy most genres of writing with the exception of horror stories, but what I really like is a book that has a good body count, or one that has a tortuously twisting plot.

Like many who come on here I am also in the process of writing a book (crime of course), but when the time comes I will advertise it in the relevant place and not in the main discussions.

If I haven't posted recently I hope one of you will come knocking on my door to remind me not to neglect you all.

Wendy | 580 comments Welcome. I would love to learn about any mystery, suspense or thriller novels set in Bahrain. It is for this Groups' UN Challenge.

Glen Stansfield (fenderjedi) | 15 comments Thank you,
I may get around to one in Bahrain, but this one is set in Scotland and Angola. The next is set in London and Kuwait.
You have given me an idea though.

Jan C (woeisme) | 38618 comments What about The Bahrain Conspiracy or Trapped in Bahrain: Trapped in the Middle East. Not sure if either of these qualify but I searched Amazon for Bahrain and those titles came up (among others).

I can spook myself enough without having someone else do it for me!

Kathy | 37 comments Hi. Been on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ for a couple of years. In several groups. Need some advice and/or assistance. I have a friend who is the caregiver for her mother. She really likes suspense, but with a love interest. And very light on the blood and gore. It is a tough grouping. Looking for authors that might qualify.

An example is that she likes Sandra Brown and has read some Heather Graham (her suspense and thriller type books).

Does not care for humor as the main theme so that eliminates a lot of authors I have read. No lurid sex scenes. Love interest, but no outright lust and passion. (She is 88 after all!!!)

HELP!!!!

Jan C (woeisme) | 38618 comments How about Julia Spencer-Fleming? Her main characters are a small town police chief in upstate New York and the new female Episcopalian priest. There are 8 books in the series. There isn't much actual violence. A certain amount goes on in the background but not a lot of description of it is gone into.
