Hello! Raise your hand if you're aware that it's August! If you're like me, your world is still turned upside-down-sideways and you don't know when it is... day of the week, date, month, season, anything.

Since some of you are speedy readers, I imagine you might be finishing your goals for the year; even if you're not necessarily a speedy reader, this year has been weird, and you might have found yourself with an unplanned whole-lot-of-time to read. So I've created this year's Finish Line folder :)

* To move your list when you're done for the year, click the little "edit" link next to your discussion thread's title. On the next page, in the folder drop-down box, select the Finish Line 2020 folder, then hit save. You can still add to your thread once it's been moved, and any bookmarks to the thread will still go to the proper discussion.

* You don't need to move your discussion thread if you're not ready, and you are definitely welcome to keep reading! The folder is merely there and ready for anyone who wants to have the thrill of saying they've hit their goal for the year :)

* If you're not sure how to move your thread, or don't want to screw up, or just don't feel like doing it, no problem. I usually go through all of the lists in the first few months of the next year and move the ones I can tell are done. (And if your challenge isn't for the calendar year and your goal doesn't end until sometime in the following year, don't worry: I leave those right where they are.) Again, they can still be added to, and bookmarks will still go to the correct place, so you don't have to worry about your list getting lost.

If you have any questions, you can ask here or send me a private message. (And in case anyone is wondering, on the west coast of the U.S., it's currently Sunday, the 9th of August, in the summer. Right? .... *checks computer clock* Yes, that's right. )

Kathy Hale (kahale) | 374 comments Raising my hand that I am here. I do my list for the calendar year. I've been listening to audio books as well as reading paper. I'm going to try for my 50 book total.
