This is a bloody nightmare. Tory rebels out in numbers but Labour backing the Government. My MP won’t even answer my questions about why he is voting to introduce vaccine passports and further restrictions when I email him about it. Instead, he just comes out with mindless ‘stay safe� slogans.

We’ve got what the South Africans classify as little more than a highly-transmissible cold, one person over here has died with probably not of it (coincidentally, the 1st in the world, the day before the vaccine passport vote) and our media, politicians and a sizeable part of the public are going into meltdown. I’ve never seen anything like this absurd hysteria.

Meanwhile, 50k missing cancer patients (source Prof Karol Sikora), NHS waiting lists running into years, and God knows how many missing treatments for other serious illnesses, all caused by lockdowns, with an NHS that’s now more interested in jabbing kids than cutting the backlogs, making excess mortality a ticking time bomb that’s about to explode!

We will probably all get the omiCON cold at some point but the hospitals, doctors, coroners, etc. will be testing anybody that moves (or no longer moves), so as sure as night follows day, this very mild but highly transmissible ‘variant� will be put down as the cause of death for practically everyone who dies because we count any death within 28 days of a positive rona test as dying of it, regardless of the actual cause of death. As Lance pointed out, there's a huge difference between dying with something as opposed to of it.

Those little wooden covid dolls in the top drawers of the politicians� and journalists� desks must be laughing their socks off right now. James, that's a fascinating link. I actually read something similar but a lot shorter by a random guy in a UK newspaper's online comments section towards the end of 2020. It wasn't as detailed as this and not specific to the vaccine (more about governments' general response to covid) but I thought at the time that it was a very clever take on things. Don't know if the chap in your link is telling the truth about the meeting but (in view of the last 2 years+ of madness), I think it's a highly plausible scenario.

If you want to learn about what is truly interesting in the US, it is the many court hearings going on to investigate and prosecute Trump related crimes.

Trump came into office in 2017 with 300 civil lawsuits that had to be put on hold. Now, the US Department of Justice is not only catching up on the old lawsuits against Trump, but they have to investigate all the felonies Trump committed since.

That court system is going to be awfully busy for a few years as when they have finished with Trump they will have to start on Biden. God knows how long it will take with him!!!!!

Carmen, after about several hundred posts from you referencing Trump on topics that have nothing specifically to do with Trump (or Biden for that matter), this is your first official warning to stay on topic please. We as a group are trying to have meaningful discussions on breaking news regarding specific topics -- and generally in a bipartisan or even apolitical fashion. You are hijacking every single thread with anti-Trumpism and you clearly don't care about anything except that -- it is slowly rendering all the different threads meaningless.
